I would love if in my life time we officially announced the discovery of et life be it they discover us or we discover them. I think there is life out there, lots of life actually just our capabilities are so small compared to the size of the universe to actually discover it.

I agree, I can't believe we are the only form of life that exists. We might not like it when we do find it though.

Convinced there is a multitude of like out there however unless it's in our own solar system how are they getting here?
Faster than light speed isn't possible.

It was my understanding that the date of this film was unknown, but by the grainy footage it is obviously way older than 2004.

Convinced there is a multitude of like out there however unless it's in our own solar system how are they getting here? Faster than light speed isn't possible. This is another question. We can only assume what we know on earth itself. When we look for these perfectly positioned plants in their solar systems with potential ambient temperatures etc were presuming the life of these planets would need similar resources to ourselves. Who says this is the case? Other life forms could thrive on extreme temperature, not require oxygen or water. Who's to say a massively advanced life form out there hasn't mastered light speed travel? Just think about this for a second. It blows my mind. So in our galaxy the milky way there are over 300 billion stars. That's 300 billion suns with potential planets. If only 10 percent of those suns have just 1 planet that's 30 billion planets in the milky way alone. They predict in the universe which don't forget is still expanding there to be 100 billion galaxies. Based on our galaxy of 30 billion planets there is potentially 30 billion x 100 billion planets in the universe. 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 planets That's based on just 10 percent of galaxy suns having planets (this number is more likely 50% and above) and those suns having only 1 planet (As we know our solar system alone has 8). The number above could easily double, triple, quadruple and so forth. Incredible that some people think were alone.

Any alien life out there would be well advised to keep themselves hidden away from humans 'cos lets face it, our track record anit great when it comes to discovering new civilisations.

we are only looking for life in terms we understand, there will be other forms of life and existence we cant comprehend
as my old granddad used say, we are only just finding out how little we know

Any alien life out there would be well advised to keep themselves hidden away from humans 'cos lets face it, our track record anit great when it comes to discovering new civilisations. If they’re capable of interstellar travel it’s us who should be concerned. If an advanced species was hostile, which I doubt it would be if it’s made it this far, but if it is then a war between that species and modern humans would be equivalent to a war between modern humans, with our current killing technologies, and a rabble of cavemen wielding spears and stones.

Convinced there is a multitude of like out there however unless it's in our own solar system how are they getting here? Faster than light speed isn't possible. If the technology exists to sustain life in space over the long-term then near light-speed travel isn’t a necessity for interstellar voyages. All that’s needed is a great deal of time. Interestingly, it’s possible such an advanced species will have solved the problem of senescence. I actually don’t think humans are too far from doing just that. There are scientists in the field of aging who currently believe that the first human to live to 1000 has already been born!

The Drake Equation.
Blows a fuze in me bonce, thinking too hard about time and space, size and age of the Universe and that. Very much a case for me of the more you dig the further you get from the bottom, or whatever.
Try to keep an open mind on the idea of visitations, though not seen compelling evidence that couldn't be explained by weather phenomena, hoax, experimental tech., hocus pocus etc.
How that object tumbles could that be a space rock{s}? Breaching the atmos at an odd angle?
Apparently we've started to discover water and organic compounds {building blocks for amino acids, dna etc{ contained within meteors, from outer space. Maybe the force of an impact and energy of a meteor hitting earth could have created the spark {sparks} for life. {Theories now suggesting all the water on earth came via space rock.} Wonder where else such rocks have and do end up over the expanses of time?
There are creatures on earth, Tardigrades {Gutter Bears} which can withstand the rigours of space. They can dessicate and rejuvinate years later.
I'm interested in The {Joe} Van Allen belt of gamma radiation surrounding the Earth {way up} supposedly would nuke owt living, supposedly a ceiling to manned flight with the state of the technology we've currently got. Which throws a bit of funky light on the moon landings?

That and the Capricorn One film. The Apollo spacecraft flew fast enough and its outer skin provided enough protection from the Van Allen belts. Dosimeters worn by astronauts indicated they were exposed to lower doses than an atomic energy plant worker (for example), and no ill effects to that end have ever been detected.

That and the Capricorn One film. Yes the gamma belt fascinates me. watched a bit of a daft 'Flat Earth' doc recently, lots of it guff, but there was an interesting moon landing conspiracy section {lifted from another film} that I hadn't scene. Missing Nasa files of footage. Discrepancies, space station wires, hair gel, grainy shots, underwater footage with bubbles etc. Dunno. I havn't seen Capricorn One. Interesting with the leap in tech {a calculator got us there?} we havn't got a rover of some description beaming live pictures, having a peak around the darkside, peaking back at us and out. Beaming info re samples back etc. Or are we?

If the moon landings were #fakenews, why the fuck didn't the Russian's say it's impossible to get there?
... Nevermind, I get it. It's Trump's fault, he colluded with the Russian's to keep it hush-hush didn't he?!

I would imagine the next stage of our evolution to be far more use of bionics and implants which will certainly enhance both performance and longevity of humans. Would we custom design humans for space travel? Well we custom breed almost every other animal on the planet so I fail to see why not. There are a lot of people who subscribe to the theory that UFOs are us from another time, perhaps popping in to put thing right that need to be done to sustain a future Earth. The Russians seem to have more sightings of USOs than anything else and with our Earth being two thirds water it would make a logical place to set up camp so to speak. I think most of us have had an experience that we find hard to fully explain usually writing it off to our mind playing tricks. I'd love to see contact with another Race that would unite the people of Earth in a common goal. Hopefully that goal is not a war though as unfortunately we seem to have a propensity for that. up a notch
