If that's your application form you are not getting an interview and if they're your interview notes the interview is over before you even reach point 2. Even if you're Pep or Jose Mourinho. Fine - I would not take a job where I was destined to fail because of the incompetent buffoons to which I had to answer. Coates will not get rid of Scholes and Cartwright even if he eventually sacks Hughes in the coming weeks, but he damn well should! Work for yourself by any chance? Going for a job and demanding the heads of board members just doesn't happen.

Drop Wimmer, straight away.
Question the players, they need to be taking more responsibility here. Play 11 players who are proud to put on the red and white, at the moment it's only Shawcross, Butland, Diouf and Shaq who this seems to be hurting.
What a stoke team lacks in quality, it should make up for in fight and passion, something this team lacks.
Give me whelan/Walters/bardsley over choup wimmer etc. any day of the week.
We're stoke and they should be proud to wear the red and white.

Buy shit players, pick a shit team, with most of the players out of position. Make sure the players are not too fit or train too hard. Make idiotic excuses like the supporters don't even like my haircut" Get the sack. pocket a couple of million pounds. Then tour the world fishing. Sorted!

Mitrovic more realistic capable of doing the same job not scored many and got a bit of a temperament issue mind. Yeah, if Coates was serious of staying up a bid for barkley? We can stay up if the board want too. They have to back their man He would be Berahino mark 2

In January I'd bring in a right back and a mobile defensive midfielder (in the mould of geoff cameron but can pass). I'd also bring back all 3 loanees. With the view to play 4231, with three from Shaq/Bojan/Ramadan/Choupo/Jese as fluid attacking midfielders behind a striker, likely Saido. Go back to playing fucking football instead of twitting it to Crouch and hoping.
For now, switch to: Butland Zouma Shawcross Wimmer Pieters Allen Cameron Jese Shaq Choupo Berahino
Switch out Saido for Diouf with form. Edwards for Wimmer and switched with Zouma if Wimmer carries on his form.

No, but you turn it down if you are not prepared to work with those already in place (as I did once with a law firm that I interviewed with, much to their amazement).

Pick a correct team for a start, Mark Hughes trains with the team all week in order to play to our advantages and the other teams dis-advantages, surely by now he understands which players are best played against certain teams, I think crouch is a fantastic player as a super sub, for the simple reason that when the opposition see his name in the starting 11 they know straight away we will be playing some form of long ball up to him ( Marko Arnautovic even said in a press conference about this) so I would be starting maybe a 4-3-3 formation of something along the lines of this: Butland Edwards - Shawcross - Cameron - Tymon Afellay - Allen - Adam Shaqiri Berahino Choupo Moting
I understand there are a lot on here that dont like berahino because he hasn't scored yet blah blah blah, But given the chance against his old team surely might get him going again. Also If i was the manager, in the January window i would get muniesa, bojan and imbula all back from loan and try get them playing well again.

Work on stamina and fitness, if you can get to the ball first you have a better chance of doing something with it. Employ a defensive coach Change back to a formation that suits players Change the midfield, drop fletcher tell Joe to be defensive bring in Afflay to carry the ball through midfield (before finding a new player for this in Jan) Order Pieters to stay behind and practice crossing the ball into the box past some of the youngsters (or even the mannequins to start with) and not spend so much time wearing ridiculous jumpers on RHOC Make Joe or Zouma captain for the rest of the season, tell Shawcross concentrate on organising the defence during the game

For me one of the poorest elements of the Hughes era has been fitness we look half a yard slower than the opposition and half a stone overweight

I don't suppose there is a Stoke fan who doesn't have a plan and I expect that for every plan there will be thousands who disagree so making a suggestion for such a very difficult problem of improving our situation is so very difficult. These are the major problems we are facing at the moment:- 1. We are conceding over two goals a game. 2. We are creating very few goal chances. 3. Our dressing room is very low on confidence and we have very few leaders. 4. We have a very volatile fan base who have little confidence in Management or players. So no togetherness or trust! 5. I believe that we have not much money available to import players in the next window.
Personally I am so depressed because I cannot see anyway for us to escape without there being clubs that are worse than us to make us more buoyant in the league. We do have sixteen point from seventeen and so close to one point per game so 38 points is where we might end up if we maintain our present progress. Forty points not too difficult to hope for then. As a manager then I would attack the problem as follows:- 1. I would identify the players that I believed could have a major influence on our destiny and should be starting each game. For me that would be Butland, Zouma, Shawcross, Martins-Indi, Peiters, Allen, Fletcher, Shaqiri, and Cameron. Not a great set but we have to start raising players esteem and raising our mental approach to games. I would be outlining to these players their responsibilities in helping the cause. 2. I would identify a way in which our defensive qualities could be improved as we surely cannot carry on as we need to target clean sheets as priority! This means recognising a formation that suits the players we presently have. 3. I would clarify with the Chairman how much funds we have to solidify our chances of escaping relegation and on doing this identify targets and loans especially players who are mentally strong, team players and up for a challenge in the coming months whilst also fitting our team formation. We certainly need to add some pace in the team too. 4. I would be make a big effort to manage our local media and become closer to the fans and impress on them how they have an important role in our future. We need a full and noisy stadium that is not going to be very welcoming for opponents. 5. I would employ two strong assistant coaches one highly qualified as a defensive specialist and the other qualified in offensive play. I would employ a top class fitness expert. 6. I would talk to people in the profession who I admire and know for advice. Personally I would go back to basics for the rest of this season which is going to be a battle and start with a 4-4-2 formation with players who are willing to commit themselves physically to the cause. They must be willing to run themselves into the ground for the clubs target of survival. Players must put their bodies on the line. Within that formation it is essential that we also have pace up front and in wide positions who can turn defenders. In the transfer window I would prefer experienced journey men to strengthen our squad. The present is no time for Youth. We need two full backs, two midfield players and a ones who can play wide. My team to start our turn around would be: Butland, Fletcher Shawcross Indi and Pieters at the back Affelay Zouma Cameron and Allen in Midfield Berahino and Jese up front Not pretty but a solid formation. When I have manoeuvred in the transfer window I can evolve the team especially in wide areas. I would sell Shaqiri and Butland to fund the players we need for the battle over the next five months. A necessary sacrifice if we are to survive as much as I would love to keep them. The fundemental basis of our survival would be clean sheets. It sounds very much like a Pulis ideology but I do not believe in his ideology and believe in our ability to be offensive too. I am sure that their will be negative opinions about my suggestions but four months of hard work can see us approach the new season with fresh ideas to move us forward again.
