I’ve got a good feeling about this match. With Zouma back and West Brom struggling for goals, I think we’ll only concede a couple. We just need a Shaq worldie and an own goal and we might nick a point.

This is the match where Hughes should start Berahino. If he doesn't, he's definitely lost the plot!

Pardew will probably look at how west ham set up against us and go for a similar set up, they will want to win as much as we do but i think they would settle for a draw, where as a draw just isnt good enough for us. The news of phillips and chadli returning for wba is worrying there attack will obviously be chadli. phillips, rondon all have one thing in common which is pace!

Our players obviously knows about the fragile position of Mark Hughes. The big question is how motivated our players are. Will they put in an extra shift for him or will they think that enough is enough and let their effort reflect that? A professional player shouldn't be affected by that, but the mind can play funny games with you when you're in a situation like Stoke at the moment.

Berahino hat trick in a 5-0 demolition. Wimmer also scores one 35 yard thundertwat of a strike. Shaq adds the other.
We dominate possession, playing with dynamic pace and a real creative verve flowing through the team. Fletcher & Allen own the middle of the park, Shaq & Choupo dominate the wide areas with rampant support from the marauding full backs of Pieters and Cameron. Shawcross wins everything thrown his way and even produces a couple of Cruyff turns at times to leave Rondon on his knees. Butland saves a late penalty after Swarbrock takes pity on West Brom following their humiliation.
After the game Hughes is all smiles and says "honestly people, we were only pissing about before - it's just an inside joke we have going on. Don't worry we're good really!"
This is the followed by a 2-1 defeat away at Huddersfield.

Ditch crouch and diouf next week, it looked painful the last two games. Sit deep, try and sneak a goal on a counter attack. Butland Johnson Shawcross Cameron Pieters Allen. Fletcher Adam Shaq. Choupo. Jese That's 2 teams sitting back then. What a horrific spectical it would be.. MH only knows our dross way of playing so we'll take the game to them. They certainly wont want to lose. Sort of glad I'm working actually

I'm thinking Hughes will pick Butland Cameron shawcross Zouma Pieters Diouf fletcher Allen sobhi Shaqiri Berahino I've put together our players strengths 6-4-0 is our best option mixing up a team of tacklers and ball passers. Giving Shaqiri freedom. I'd go with that too, play 4-4-1-1 with shaq in the number 10 role behind Berahino

I really hope we win but I'm going for
0-2 to West Brom
I just can't see where our next win is coming from under the current management.

For all the good the Manager's supposed input has for our performances we might just as well replace him with a Christmas Gnome in the technical area to see if he brings any better luck. Shaqiri? 😉

I can honestly say I haven’t got a clue what team I would pick for this game ! Nor has Hughes ..and as for a formation he uses the FA Cup semi final draw method. A bag with 4 balls in numbered 1-4, which ever order he picks out is the formation of the day! As for tomorrow, it will be a "Pat Murphy" special comments for Radio 5 live I bet.

Via The Guardian:
Pardew’s first win could spell end for Hughes at Stoke Mark Hughes’s job may be in jeopardy but he is unlikely to give a start this weekend to Saido Berahino, the striker he spent many months pursuing before eventually prising him from West Brom for £12m. That alludes to just one of the reasons for which Stoke are in danger of relegation: when a club spends as sparingly as Stoke have in recent seasons, they need all their major signings to be successful and can ill-afford flops such as Berahino or Giannelli Imbula, nor even last season’s loan failure of Wilfried Bony or the unpromising start made to this campaign by Kevin Wimmer. Nor can they afford to leave parts of their team looking as scantly covered as, say, they do at right-back or central midfield. Stoke know they have holes to fill during the January transfer window but Hughes may not be given the chance to plug away if Alan Pardew finds a way to get West Brom scoring on Saturday. PD

Hi, anyone travelling up from the Cambridge area tomorrow that might be able to offer a lift for my son and me? I’m currently unable to drive following recent surgery and we don’t want to miss this one. I’m happy to pay my fair share of fuel costs. Cheers in desperation, nellbell.

Worryingly, as has been said, Geoff Cameron would get in the XI in (at least!) 3 positions tomorrow. If that doesn't set the warning lights flashing, God knows what will. Will he risk Edwards AND Tymon at full-back? Has Fletcher played himself out of the XI? Where is Cameron most use? In midfield? Is Crouch worth another start? Or is that experiment over?

No Zouma and Pieters raises the possibility of the 2 kiddies as full backs, or recalling the knackered Johnson. If nothing else this is a damning indictment of Hughes' failure to build a rounded squad.
We need Geoff in midfield so I guess we go with Tom and Josh and hope for the best.
