Diarrhoea right from start to finish. Weak as piss. Wobbly defending. Spineless, toothless.
I can't remember any meaningful attempts. Stupid substitution.
Infected gash of a performance.

We worked so hard to only lose 1-0 at Burnley. Give Hughes a new 5-year contract, St.Peter!

Our only hope now this season is a managerial change. It's a throw of the dice that will still likely fail given how poor our team is but without a change there is zero chance.
Time to roll that dice

Stoke manager Mark Hughes: "Don't tell me that anyone says Burnley deserved to win that, because they didn't. The lads are devastated, they didn't deserve that. "We'll be OK, we're fine. We are working hard to try and turn this around but I am encouraged by what I've seen tonight. "Burnley play on percentages, they hope something will drop for them and they are making a habit of it."

The performance today says a lot about the state of the players minds and today we were by far the better team. To lose it is gutting but sooner or later our luck will change. The players themselves worked so hard for their manager and have clearly not lost faith in him so neither should we. Hold your nerve guys! HUGHES IN!! (tin hat on)

I think most people would have said we would lose 1-0 tonight We created a couple of chances, nothing clear cut although Crouch should have scored late on. Positives we looked solid defensively although Zouma limping of killed us. That’s about it really......

100% effort is the absolute bare minimum that we should see for every single game. Not just when a few fans have shouted some nasty things at a train station.
He needs to be gone tonight, the man & his little posse of coaches are clueless.

I think most people would have said we would lose 1-0 tonight That's because nothing did happen in the game. It was awful, a typical mid week cold as fuck dull game against two sides that are very similar but yet so far apart each other. That's simply down to staff, they have Dyche we have Hughes. Taking Shaq off is the the final final final fucking straw for me. Get the cunt out now. We were OK In the first half. Don't let no one bullshit you by preaching the first half performance. Burnley we generally as shit as us. But they have a good manager and conditioning.

That substitution looked like the act of man seemingly trying to get himself deliberately sacked.

It’s what we seem to do too, however we never get enough support to the guys up front, so we rarely win the second ball.

Zouma going off cost us big time but who came on? Someone Hughes spunked £18m on and isn't good enough. As for the substitution of Shaqiri, that's one of the most bizzare things I've ever seen a manager do. That didn't change anything, the players were fucked and Hughes did fuck all.

That's ok then Well no it's not of course but saying we were shit all game when we clearly weren't isn't either. ...Except we were. Allen getting knocked off the ball like he wasn't even there, Fletcher tripe, Ramadan gave it a go but refused to cross and kept running slap bang into defenders, Diouf couldn't control what fucking channel he was watching, Crouch isolated, Shaq unable to do anything because of zero movement around him. No ability to string passes together, no meaningful attacks all game, not just the last fifteen. Wimmer came on and we conceded again, Cameron needs to be in midfield but he didn't consider this, looked ponderous again, nervous as hell. We looked like a mid-table Championship outfit who were sitting back trying not to lose with our fingers crossed that something would drop; how anyone can claim we did well tonight is beyond me. The best thing you can say about Stoke tonight is that we were marginally less pathetically embarrassing as we've become used to. In other words, they at least looked half interested. The bare, bare minumum that should be expected.

I think it’s gone too far now.
Shit happens sadly.
It all reminds me a bit of Mick Mills. A brief moment when we were fucking beautifully brilliant before a slow painful slide beyond the point of no return .

We are in a dreadful situation but lets keep to the facts we dominated most of the game, were actually quite good in the first half and had seven shots on target. The Zouma injury was a body blow and we then invited pressure on to us, failed to make effective subs with the almost inevitable outcome.
