Tony Pulis coming back... Berahino would feel like Theon Greyjoy being taken back to Ramsey Boltons torture chamber.

He was talking about how we are in the top ten for the best form in our last 6 games, and I can't see a man with his ego giving up on that.
I'm sure Coates would lap that shit up too, and wouldn't see it in his best interest to sack him yet.
If he's resigned then that's fair play, but that would be down to the fans making it known if anything.

Hope OP is true but would be surprised if Hughes has resigned.
If he has gone then thanks for the first 3 seasons Mark but being so bloody stubborn,ie...stupid formation has ultimately cost you your job. Some managers are there own worst enemy sometimes.

If he has resigned, then he is a good at playing poker.
Denied he was under pressure on TalkSPORT
Stoke City boss Mark Hughes brushed off suggestions he could face the sack after watching his side lose 5-1 to Tottenham at Wembley Stadium.
The Potters conceded four second half goals against Spurs, who have scored 17 times against Mark Hughes’ side in their last four meetings, marking a third defeat in four league games.
But with a set of winnable fixtures ahead of his team, Hughes refused to participate in talk surrounding his job security.
“Today wasn’t a good day at the office,” Hughes told talkSPORT.
“Prior to this, in the last six games we’re in the top 10 for current form. So, it’s what you want to make of it.
“When teams get beat a manager will come under pressure – that’s how it is. When you win, the pressure goes away for a couple of weeks until you lose again.
“That’s the reality of my position.”

I really thought he would be gone when i woke up this morning. Especially with the crowd turning at Wembley and what was seen at Stoke station.

I'm angry about the way Hughes has stubbornly persisted in everything that was blatantly not working, He has overseen our dramatic regression since the Liverpool semi final, and today we look a complete and utter shambles.
This situation has been coming for a long time, he should have been sacked last summer but the Board was extremely negligent in retaining him.
Now we are in a complete mess, our squad is totally unbalanced with glaring omissions which need urgent attention.
If Hughes has indeed gone then it's a huge few days for the Board to make the right appointment of new manager to try to save our Prem status, and not a decision based on who is the cheapest manager available, and not the easy option of bringing the Capped One back again.

Wimmers comments after the game make it sound like he has lost the dressing room too. If true he will be out sooner rather than later.
Need somebody in this week to have a good look at the squad and what we need in the window. Have to take a few risks now before it is too late, as it stands neither the manager or the squad is good enough to get us to 40pts - nothing to lose

No, we absolutely shouldn't. What fucking sense does it make to swap a manager who has been serving up shit football, for another manager who also serves up shit football? I don't doubt that Pulis might be in Coates' mind but any sane fan who isn't absolutely fucking mental wouldn't have Pulis back. The only sane decision is to bring Pulis back. There is no other living human being who is as good as Pulis at rescuing English clubs on the brink of relegation. I believe our club deserves the best and it is our good fortune that he is available. And what is more, TP will be desperate to come back and prove the doubters wrong. You want sectioning.

I want him out but a resignation says to me that he cant cope anymore, maybe down to working relationships. It comes down to a battle of wills if hes sacked hes owed millions in compensation, hence the board being reluctant to do so. If he resigns he wavers that compensation and plays right into the boards hands. Much bigger issues than Hughes here im afraid. Penny-pinching till the last drop !! Should have been sacked ages ago but they will gladly accept the resignation Clowns of the highest order !!

Don't clubs like to dress it up as mutual consent and all that bollocks? It still tends to happen there and then though. It’s rare it happens one day and is announced later. Not saying it’s not true, just that it’s weirdly handled if so. Isnt everything 'weirdly handled' at Stoke City FC?

I doubt he's resigned, not many managers jump before being pushed these days. If he hasn't resigned he'll definitely be gone at the end of the season one way or another.

This isn't good news at all for the club. Maybe fans like it, but .... Of course its good news!! The only 'progress' we've made since last year is that we've moved from 3 & 4 goal drubbings to 5 & 7 goak trashings !!!!

If true, shame that it's the scenes at Stoke station that probably triggered it. Not sure he deserved that. Hughes totally deserved it. Some/many of the players didn't.

I think his time has come but I'm not certain that we have a replacement lined up. The board will have a very busy few days if the rumour is true. By the way, it actually came from me last night on the Hughes out thread 😉. I'm trying to get information on the possible candidates and will share accordingly.
