7 wins in 33 ( you need ten in any 38 and we cant even manage that) Really Struggled to beat a really really poor bottom of the league team at home last week and every game like that these-days is :- a 'must win' routine beatings by anyone who actually wants to We are always 'there for the taking' these- days morale through the floor HUMILIATING IN FACT and I absolutely dread us playing anyone half decent these-days and, a manager living delusionally on another celestial plain through all this There are no 'corners to turn' this time we are fucked ! Mr Coates WE ARE FUCKED ! AND Im telling you, we are going down if this fucking deluded clown stays in charge for another fortnight Poetic, Tony.

'But it was away at tottenham@ That's all you'll read from the deluded hughes lovers Not today. I can’t see anyone in their right mind defending that. Indeed mate. Can't defend the indefensible. Totally understand the calls for his immediate head; and I wouldn't be sad to see him go if he went. But the way I see it is he now has 4 games to save his job. Anything less than 6 points, he's gone. 7-10 points and we should put a little distance between us and the bottom 3 (but could easily get dragged in). Even with a maximum of 12 points there'll be plenty of people willing him out the door, so you'd have to say the writing's on the wall; it's all about whether he can cling on until the end of the season before he leaves.

Just put p&g on, I know Dennis Smith is a stoke legend, but he needs fucking off the radio. He talks absolute bollocks, making excuses that spurs are just too good, no point in shouting and balling at the players we have lost the game. Look at how we just stood off spurs the entire 90 minutes and let them do what they want, pick us off at will. No movement, no pace, no plan. Shambolic defending. It’s embarrassing, but don’t shout at them no, spurs are just better. Fuck off
I've said the same on the match day thread mate ... he's completely embarrassing himself.

after hearing his interview on radio joke last week, coates is the problem. Hughes has no pressure from above. I wish my boss was like that, I would be on a right jolly! I disagree. That's the famous chairman's vote of confidence that all managers dread. And Coates gave Pulis no warning until the day he axed him. Something about Hughes today suggests he'd like the axe to fall soon as possible.

Needs to go. Three at the back is his equivalent of Barker's POMO experiment. Both too brainwashed to move away from a fashionable system that we don't have the players for.

I have defended him for quite a while, probably longer than I should have in hindsight. I can't anymore (my mind was 100% changed around the Bournemouth game, I was on the fence beforehand) this season has been awful since the United game. It's quite sad to be fair, the first two years were the best two years of football I've ever watched Stoke play. Time to go now Hughes, you're embarrassing yourself and the fans now. I was still supporting him as I thought we were improving. A battling defeat today and I'd still have given him more time but a hammering against an out of form Spurs suggests it's not going to turn. Wouldn't care if he was sacked now but I'd be nervous about his replacement!!!

Ireland has been training for ages you dumb fucking fool, he has been extended instead of released. He should of been fucked off the minute he was patched up and done with therapy. What did hughes do? Gave a player who hasn't done shit in two years a 6mo extension. He ain't no sickbed trodden player, he's stealing a living as is Hughes. He hasn't regained full match playing fitness. His contract was extended on much lesser terms for insurance reasons. Whatever Ireland is, he is not to be blamed for our demise today, you sick prick. He never will see a match for Stoke again. He isn't going to get to match fitness He has nothing else to do but sit and cash in on our club's insurance policies. He's healed enough to train. He should've been released, and given a lump for insurance coverage and fucked off. He's taking a squad spot and nobody is blaming him for today you daft twat, you're making shit up. Hughes is the fucking idiot being a lackey letting players like him stay around and use resources while he also spunks millions on shit players who also sit on loan using resources. I'm sorry if you're looking for pity for a millionaire player in Ireland who sits and trains and does shit taking in cash after he has been healed, you're not going to find it here.

I can't see past todays performance. We clearly need some drastic changes in both approach and personnel. He doesn't seem capable of recognizing the need for change in approach, and his recent record in the transfer market suggests he can't be trusted with recruitment. In the past, we could survive the regular beatings from the big boys because you could count on us picking up points from the teams around us.....but this season? Not much evidence of that. Today we looked like a team that had just thrown in the towel, and that needs to be fixed immediately.

Frankly I fail to see how Hughes can be blamed for Shawcross' own goal, for the same player's failure to mark Kane, for Butland's walk in the park, and Edwards' inability to find the right positions. Oh well you can blame Hughes for playing such a young player, but everyone's been demanding that we picked a proper right back with pace, which Tom does have.
You can't blame Hughes for players like Shaqiri failing to chase back when Spurs counter. You can't blame him for Diouf falling every time an opponent comes near.
You can blame him for changing a winning team, that was playing a system the players were comfortable with. You can blame him for not adapting his team to the way Spurs were playing and for waiting until we were 4-0 down before making substitutions. When he finlly did what difference was Crouch going to make?
I thought Stoke played quite well for 52 minutes. Pieters had a good game, not a great one but he wasn't at fault for us falling apart. We could have parked the bus and we might have lost only by one, but we tried to make something out of the game against a better team, which in the end worked against us.

I just can't see him getting sacked after today's match. If we'd lost last week I could have seen him getting ousted, but that win gave him a stay of execution. I said before the Liverpool game that he'd be given December's fixture list to see if he'd pick up the points from teams around us, and I still think that's what the club will do. Lose against Burnley and West Ham in the next 7 days, and the atmosphere could turn, erm, 'tasty' by 5pm next Saturday.

Hughes has to go for me but somethings been very off for a while. We spend months pissing around trying to be "cute" getting a million or two knocked off a player in BMI who proved his quality in the previous season, resulting in him missing pre-season. Then we spunk £18m on a guy with a handful of spurs appearances to his name to come in as 4th choice Centre Half and don't replace the main creative outlet for the last 3 seasons. You have to worry should Shaq and Butland both leave in the summer if we have the ability to replace them with the current recruitment team and also what caliber of player we are missing out on by trying to be "cute" in the current climate.
