I'm on the fence. Nothing against the bloke and nothing against him as a footballer. He's a top man, great egg, never publicly moans, always interacts with the fans on matchday at the ground and has never really let us down on the pitch. Top pro.
2 and a half years ago Mame Diouf was our top scorer. We now find him at right back with Crouch, touching 37 as our only real option up front.
At a progressive club, both players would have been replaced by now.
Sorry for that and I feel a right t**t saying it because I like him. No place for sentiment though is there?

Not comparing the two but there seems to be a worrying trend for renewing older players contracts instead of bringing younger fresher and even hungrier players into the club. Which STILL begs the question about blooding youth this term. Whose making the decisions here?

Makes sense and he will be the man to fire us back into the Premier League from the Championship in 2018/19.

It's good news as he's the only striker the manager trusts. It's bad news because it sums up what a mess we're in. 100% agree with this What a dogs dinner of a mess he has made up front Oh and at wingbacks And come to think about it, midfield 😀

Two seasons ago, I hoped he would leave, now I'm happy with another season.

Nothing against Crouchy who is a legend and top bloke but this is the sign of a club stagnating and with no road map for the future. I wanted him to stay but more in a coaching role.
