I honestly have no idea, all I do know is, I don't want any of the British managers who are on the Premiership merry go round.

I don't think we'd have any chance at all with any of those except an outside chance with Koeman. Not even brendan rogers? I'd be very surprised if he'd consider it. He's got an ego the size of the moon and sees himself as a big club manager - even if that big club is in a Mickey Mouse league.

Must admit I have never heard of this Roger Schmidt fella but he has the slim fit Euro suit/pullover/soft shoes combo down to a 'T' and Mr. Coates is a strong 'Remainer' so it could happen...

First Choices would be any of these in no particular order. - Big Sam - Benitez BAck up options - Nuno (wolves) - Koeman - Marco Silva - Brendan Rogers - Pulis Would Big Sam come to Stoke when he wasn't interested in Leicester or WBA? I doubt whether we would pay him enough to interest him. Benitez is doing almost as badly as Hughes at the moment and would want a large transfer budget. Nuno won't leave Wolves. He is on a good thing there and if they get promoted will have a bigger transfer budget than Stoke. Watford won't release Silva having blocked Everton's approach. Rogers won't leave Celtic before the end of the season at the earliest. Koeman could be a possibility. Pulis a very last resort.

If it means premiership survival you'd be daft not to take him for half a season

I think of those mentioned, Koeman might be the best bet. His record at Southampton is more relevant to us than his record at Everton. why??? U don't base 3 seasons of 9th with Hughes, then a blip I take your point. However, I am not sure that this is a blip any more. I think there were two seasons where Hughes did a remarkable job with, in the main, a Pulis team. It was a team with some steel and grit and he gave it refinement. His third season was weird. But that the was the year Leicester won the title ...there was a complete fuck-up in the space-time continuum and we finished 9th - although we were playing like a team that should have finished lower. It deflected from our newly-formed habit of conceding 4 on a regular basis towards the end of that season. The blip year you talk of was a continuation of the ‘Stoke concede 4 ...yet again’ tactics. So, while we were not really in much danger of getting relegated, we were on a downward trajectory. And this year? Well it’s not getting any better. We have largely replaced the steel and grit and much of the time we are having to revert to less than refined football to get us out of trouble and we are not really firing as we should. If Pulis went because his methods stopped working (which is what I believe was the reason given), then Hughes needs to be judged by the same yardstick. I don’t think he should go before the end of the season, unless we end up cut loose in the relegation zone, but if he cannot turn this around, then I cannot see the point in persisting with him.

A manager that would be an improvement on Mark Hughes that no one evens to talk about....
Roberto Mancini!!!
But we would have to pay him more than we usually pay managers

His teams don’t play especially exciting football, he’s notorious for falling out with players everywhere he goes, Shaq had a difficult relationship with him at Inter, and he had unlimited funds and still only won the title once at Citeh, on goal difference, against what was at the time the weakest Manchester Utd side of the past 20 years.

He's fallen out with Zenit over transfer deals not going his way. Yeah, he's the manager for us!

I like Koeman think he'd be a good fit and a good time to get him while his stock is low. Of the British managers I like the guy at Derby.

Big Sam or Michael O'Neill (if he decides not to sign a new contract with Northern Ireland), are the only possible British managers available. Thomas Tuchel or Koeman from available foreign managers, but couldn't see them coming to Stoke.

I think Koeman would come as the set up here is more like Southampton a more measured approach which I think he’s prefer. Steady squad building not being forced to go gung ho like he was at Everyon

The only name I have seen who would realistically come here is "He Who Must Not Be Named" and although it would save me £346 on a season ticket next year I really don't want him back YET AGAIN!
