Please mate, leave this team. I feel embarrassed as a fan to have him playing in this crap side. He must look around thinking what the hell has he done to deserve this. He's a great player (yeah suffers a bit from injury) and he just needs to go join a decent club. Such a waste playing for us. Cool story Bro! H

For all he is good he doesn't half give the ball away a lot and has cost us goals a few times this season although not as many as Eric.

You are right. He clearly doesn't give a fuck about playing for us so I agree.
Only the arrival of an even more half arsed showing from jese saved his blushes tonight.

All I could thonk whenever he nearly jogged for the ball tonight was that eight years ago, we had a great laugh when Abdy kicked players like Shaqiri off the park in the cold weather. He's the stereotypical Premier League player all over.

The only thing Shaqiri needs to leave is trying to win the ball back...when he thinks that pushing a player over with both hands constitutes a legitimate way of winning the ball back..god only knows....

He's the stereotypical Premier League player all over. The real worry with Shaqiri is how is he going to perform deep into the season? Come March/April time when we are embedded in a relegation battle, our *star* man will have the World Cup on his mind, and will be doing everything he can to avoid getting injured. He's bad enough now a week before a friendly, christ knows what he will be like on the eve of a World Cup.

We are fucked if he does decide he wants out, even if he is injury prone and up and down with his form he is our only creative outlet at the minute which is another sad indictment of Hughes' management over the last two seasons.
To be honest though I don't really see him signing for one of the big boys in this league or any of the other top leagues because he is nowhere near consistent enough to make an impact at a top club.

The 3 base system is designed to sacrifice others in favour of getting the most out of Shaqiri. He is our only creative outlet but therefore, he should be. With the switch to a 4-4-2 or a 4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1, however we want to play, it *should* bring others into the game and *should* open up other sources of creativity. If we can get to January and bring some quality in it will open it up even more. A natural outside wide man with pace will help immensely. Every wide player we have plays outside to in - it hinders them and it hinders the team because we have no natural attacking full backs, nor do we have any attacking wing backs. In short, we're one dimensional by design and implementation. Currently when it works, great. The team looks good and Shaqiri looks good. When it doesn't, and we are shut down it looks what it is - horrific.

haha man, he's a class player, genius sometimes and he's playing for in a team that makes him look like lenny henry. But then again keep the blinkers on muppets!!!! You seriously can't think he isn't thinking WTF is this ? when he was running up the wing looking around for support, he just gave up because he had nothing. Terrible You're all bloody deluded or weird You do realise you've asked the best player we have to leave (albeit on a message board he's probably never going to see) and you wonder why you're getting grief, is he your best mate or something. Also he's looked class this season, not sure why you think the team is making him look crap, did the goal against Palace look shit because of the rest of the team?

He played (and signed) a naturally wide right forward in Odemwingie. Not only was Odemwingie a good un' because he scored goals, he added a hell of a lot of balance to Hughes's system, something we haven't seen since his injury, and subsequent transfer out. He was also quick which added something we don't currently have. On top of that he was very direct and went beyond the ball, something that our current wide men don't do.

Revert to 4-2-3-1 for me,Shaq as no10,Diouf upfront,go balls out to sign a midfield destroyer who can really play,(i'm sure we could have achieved it given the money spunked on Bera,Wimmer and Imbula,)Ryan and Indi at the centre of a back four. The wide roles in the front three may be problematic to fill tho'.....

Needs to get himself sorted with a new club ASAP. If I was him I'd be strategically pulling out of games, feigning injury whatever to reduce impact on his image. It's like having a genius IQ mixing with nursery school kids (except Bera who could be on his wavelength given a chance)

If anyone thinks Shaq she's his future here then I'd suggest taking your red and white specs off. He's seen Arnautovic go for big money and he knows he can achieve better than an ambitious club like West Ham.
