The midfield is a gaping chasm that is just ran through without any fight put up. Fletcher and Allen should be dropped for Brighton's first goal alone. What were they playing at? Just kick him if you can't get the ball. Allen has been a lot better of late tbf but Fletcher has been awful. You will find that the worst attempt at a tackle in that farce was Eric fucking Pieters - he then recovered long enough to lie down in front of the guy who had the scoring shot too. If any player should be dropped it is this clown. Wank every game yet still gets a shirt without fail. The debacle against Mahrez then this - watch the goal again and tell me what you think of his input. He then goes on to have laughs and a pat on the arse for Glenn Murray the biggest twat on the pitch. The midfield is under more pressure because of the glaring inadequacies of this aberration of a 'wingback' system. It shouldn't have got to Pieters. And again I agree he should be dropped but the dismal summer where we didn't address the key areas (full back and central midfield) mean we can't.

And I'd love to see Zouma in there tbh. I think he'd be ideal for it.

Pieters has been poor for quite some time. If he is irreplaceable as some on here seem to think, this must be down to poor management of the squad. He's a poor man's full back, and a piss poor man's wing back!

TBH the whole team is an aberration and the only people who should be getting stick for it are the people who have put it together.

There is not an earthly of Fletcher being dropped. He was BBC Man Of The Match at Brighton. Just forget it, its not happening. Man of the match - Darren Fletcher (Stoke City) Darren Fletcher Providing the base for which Shaqiri could build his brilliance, Fletcher made more passes (52) than anyone else on his side, four of which were key passes, and also had more touches (71) than any other Potters player. He was at least twice as good as Allen, the sooner we can get a fit Cameron or Affelay along side Fletcher the better.

Another shitter added to the growing list. Brings very little to the tram and loses possession far to often. Cameron will at least add a bit of athleticism in there.
Shows the dire situation we are in when we miss Cameron.

Was poor today, would have preferred Afellay I'd make that change Wednesday , Afellay before his injury was quality but he hasn't had a run since he came back . Fletcher has been poor for a while now , kept losing the ball today.

Why on earth didn't he bring down whoever it was that put in the cross for the 2nd goal?
He's crap but we have no alternative option at all until Cameron returns.

Shows what a mess we are in when we miss Geoff fucking Cameron, he’s not exactly Roy Keane in his prime either.
Fuck me Coates and co. You’ve certainly managed to get yourselves into a right mess, you bunch of complacent shit houses.

The failure to sign Lemina, Delph or any other midfielders in the summer is really hurting us now. Fletcher should be dropped but until Cameron is fit, we haven't got a viable alternative. I actually think Fletcher is a good player but he has played over 100 consecutive games plus internationals and he needs a break. Give him 3 or 4 games off and he could come back as the player he was at the start of the season.
