What. A. Bargain. Excellent last night - took his goal well and lovely flick on for the second. He's generally looked a handful all season, gets stuck in and links up well with those around him. My player of the season so far.

Shaqiri is mine I think, in the top 3 players in the league for chances created last time I looked and only behind Manchester City players in the assists table. I think the two compliment each other very well and I'd like to see those two on the wings, Saido in the middle with Sobhi number 10.
Oh four at the back how I miss thee.

I’d love to go back to the 4-2-3-1 with him, shaq, diouf and Berahino. Let diouf play further up, with bera up top and shaq in the middle.... I’m sure that’s got goals in it

I still don't see a complete player yet, I hope that comes with time. But I guess you get what you pay for. I thought he was quite average up until his goal. And what a fucking goal. Beautifully composed where as other weeks he's taken 5-6 touches before lining up.

He's very much a winger/wide forward and a good one at that. Sticking him down the middle does him a disservice.

Agreed - him out wide in a 3 with a proper leader of the line in front of the 3 and Shaq in the middle of the 3 is surely better than what we have at the moment. I actually like 343 but ONLY if we have the wing backs and the forward players to play it properly and at the moment, we don't. Sparky should revert to 4231 until such time as he has the players to play another system.

Unless he moves Zouma to right back (really not a good option, I'd play Cameron there). With 4231 we really need a new defensive midfielder to play alongside or instead of Fletcher, or else we'll continue to be overrun as Shaq certainly won't be shuffling back to help!

Directly involved in six of our fifteen goals (scored three, assisted three). Shaq is on scored two, assisted five. We're fucked if either gets injured.
Edit - Another way of looking at it is that in twelve games so far we have only managed three goals that didn't directly involve one of the above.

Impressive with the ball at his feet, very skillful! Still miss Arnie's pace and strength though!

I just wish we'd play him on the left. Doesn't Jese prefer the left too? If they ever both start a game, someone will either play on their least preferred side or down the middle, the former being the better course of action. Not looking likely at the minute though.

I'd send Jese back in January tbh. He's the loan player and shouldn't be getting game time over Choupo or Ramadan. Edit- or Diouf (who should be playing up front) or Saido or Crouchy.

Loan or no loan Bayern, if he's good enough to contribute something to the team then play him. Using that logic, you'd be dropping Zouma. If he plays well then it's possible we might be in for him. If he plays well but doesn't want to join us then he'll have helped us secure our place in the Premiership and we live to fight another day.

Moting is an out and out winger simple, not as good as Arnie but then again he was free !. Playing him as a CF is brainless but he does try to carry out the role to the best of his abilities and is keeping out Jesse, Crouch and Berahino, playing players out of their natural positions is hanging them out to dry no better than Pulis in this respect.

The latter is a crazy idea btw That's exactly what I mean or the more Hughes friendly version is rwb so Diouf can play up front. If we played with a back 4, he wouldn't be one of the two CBs I'd want starting.
