Outstanding in the last three games, and I say that as someone who doesn’t really rate him and didn’t understand why he was signed in the first place....

Our midfielders work incredibly hard and you really can’t complain about Joe’s contribution. He doesn’t leave anything out there - he keeps on keeping on from first to last.

He was really strong early last season too, great to see him back to that standard or even better - hopefully he has the right mix round him to keep on doing what he does best the whole season this time, God knows we need you Joe!

He played very well and broke up their play at vital moments quite a few times, I just wish his first touch was better and he would get his head up at times, but you can never fault his commitment.

Yes and no for me.
I think he turns into a great player for us if were chasing the game and looking to press and get the ball back.
What we need is someone who has the mind of a proper CDM as when games are tight he tends to go chasing the ball and leaving an absolute gaping hole right in the middle of the pitch.
But I do like Joe and he seems a top lad.

He's a top top player.
He's always been excellent for us but last season just didn't know when to bomb forward, far more discipline this season
