Should be dropped in my opinion, to many touches and tries take his man on over and over missing vital passes while he’s doing it.

I thought he played well, he's clearly an intelligent footballer but his lack of pace in one on one situations is worrying......

That could be said about moat of our forward players. His tackling back and running the ball out of defence were great today

Definitely gone backwards for some reason. Lacking drive and confidence from last season.

Either underconfident or unskilled going forward. Either way he was ineffective as a winger today.

He's gone backwards under mark hughes
Meanwhile Al ahly are through to the African champions league final
Should never have come here but he wanted the cash , so he did
He's not imbulla though, he's not a waste of space , I think he will come good somewhere
But probably not stoke

Needs a conditioning coach IMO to gain sharpness.
Undoubtedly skilful but often unable to beat his fullback...

Pisses me off how he has to beat someone before putting a ball in

He had the shirt, and needs to impress to keep it but he has the Brighton and Palace away games to cement his role in the team hopefully.....

Played some great balls today, but is either lacking in confidence or ability to take his man on.

Very telling how good Demerai Gray looked compared to Sobhi, one player being managed correctly whilst the others having the confidence drained out of him with anti "safe" football tactics.

If he could just put the ball the box when he has chance to would be a start!
But no he insists on TRYING TO BEAT his man 2/3 times first.

He gets my vote today - for a lad learning a bit of a different role and who is still inexperienced in this league I thought he was half decent . If he can add the finishing touch to his game and gain a bit of confidence he will be a good player.

Firstly he was one of our better players today, secondly he's 20 years old, thirdly it'd be much easier for him if he had a fullback overlapping who would take some of the pressure off him. Of course he isn't going to beat his man when he has Leicester players doubling up on him.
We need fast wing backs who will go forward for this formation, it's criminal we didn't get them in the summer now we have to do something about it in January.

If he can add the finishing touch to his game and gain a bit of confidence he will be a good player. I agree and thought he started rusty but grew into the game. His final ball isnt the best as yet but it will come, very similar to the snake when he first signed for us. Certainly doesnt need carting off to some "mud table" or a side in france 😆
