Jaguar cars would still be called SS Cars Ltd

Israel might not be given quite as sympathetic ear by the west for terrorising its neighbours.

I suppose some other tyrant would have taken on a similar role given the mess the German economy was in and the people's acceptance of fascism.

Well for a start there would have been no German Economic Miracle that appeared after WW2
The main reason the German economy is/was so strong is because Hitler murdered over a million disabled people.
In effect slashing the welfare budget.
That money was ploughed into the Economy..manufacturing in particular.
Out of the gas chambers came the German Economic 'Miracle'.
No doubt many on this board who know fuck all about Economic History would like us to do a similar thing.

When the Weimar Republic was collapsing a Communist revolution was as likely as a fascist one. Without Hitler would the far right have had their early successes? Probably not. A Communist Germany no doubt would have allied/been under the influence of the USSR from the start. Because of that I think France and Britain would have acted militarily straight away.

Israel might not be given quite as sympathetic ear by the west for terrorising its neighbours. The Jews would have felt no need to leave Europe in the first case, meaning no state of Israel anyway.

There would be more Jews. Even more Russians There was a stat on one of those WW2 documentary programmes last night giving the number of armed forces and civilian casualties per country which was quite staggering. It also said something like there were so many Russian male casualties that Russian women outnumbered their mate counterparts by something like one third after the war.
World War 2 Death Count Per Country
Here we've compiled a comprehensive collection of World War 2 Statistics. Please note that these figues are approximate. Individual sources of statistics sometimes vary.
Military/ Civilian/ Total
USSR 12 million 17 million 29 million Poland 597,000 5.86 million 6.27 million Germany 3.25 million 2.44 million 5.69 million Yugoslavia 305,000 1.35 million 1.66 million Romania 450,000 465,000 915,000 Hungary 200,000 600,000 800,000 France 245,000 350,000 595,000 Italy 380,000 153,000 533,000 Great Britain 403,000 92,700 495,000 United States 407,000 6,000 413,000 Czechoslovakia 7,000 315,000 322,000 Holland 13,700 236,000 249,000 Greece 19,000 140,000 159,000 Belgium 76,000 23,000 99,000

How did 6000 US civilians lose their lives Actually, the total number of US civilian deaths during WWII was more than double that. For a start, 9,521 US merchant seamen perished at sea, 2,419 US internees died during their imprisonment and 68 died at Pearl Harbour.

City centres in England and Europe would look very different because they would still retain their original architecture.
Winston Churchill may have been a side note in the history books (as perhaps a competent Foreign Secretary) rather than one of the most famous politicians in world history and the embodiment of British values and spirit.

Exeter, Cov, Briz, Plymouth... lots of medieval architecture was lost, the same architecture that we flock to Germany, France & Italy to see... The northern industrial cities of Milan, Genoa and Turin were absolutely flattened. Thousands of renaissance buildings were lost. I never mentioned France, but I will add the bombing of Rotterdam in the Netherlands to the list.
