Butland has let more goals in than any other keeper in the league so far this year.
He is recognised as possibly the most likely successor to Hart.
With The WCup in his sights, does he stay here for keeping practice, he is getting plenty. Or if a bigger club comes calling does he jump ship play, behind a better defence, look good and have more chance of being Englands first choice next summer.
Im not scare mongering, I want him to stay but at the moment if I were him I'd be speaking to my England teammates and let them know my thoughts.

Nothing's changed, he won't be here come the start of next season imo.
Hughes is probably salivating at the thought of having another £40m in his arse pocket, to completely waste.

Stay up and out chances a low but at least we will get a decent fee for him Go down and we have 0% chance and we’ll get next to nothing

Our defensive set up is going to make a mug of any keeper (not that I think that Jack has been outstanding this season) so I would imagine his motivation for a move and sooner rather than later is quite high just now.

Jack and Shaq will be gone in January. They are both ambitious players and highly skilful, but we won't hang on to them if we don't try to match that ambition and sadly we are light years away from that.
If we keep them to the end of the season we will have done well.

I think any top club wanting to make plans for it’s goal keeping situation might well decide to get in before the summer transfer bun-fight and will have a quiet word with Jack and his representatives in January. Decent money on offer and I think the club will bow to the inevitable and cash in rather than keep an unhappy player.

For him to go in January it would mean 1 of the top 6 need him and will make him No1 choice. Just can't see that. I think he will stay until the end, and lets hope we stay up, and lets hope it is down largely to JB. If so that will increase his value no end, and realistically 40Mill+ is not out of the question. If we go down, and he has a few mares it will reduce his value, so lets hope scenario 1 plays out.

Add shaquri to butland leaving. Both are to good for us at the moment. We missed the chance to add quality in the summer to have a chance of keeping them. We are a glorified championship team at the moment.

I've thought for a while he'll go in the summer, but now I'm not so sure. I think the question is where to? Pickford's fee has set the bar high so there aren't many who could actually afford him. It would have to be upwards of £30m. Liverpool at the moment are the only candidate. If the shit lose de Gea, possibly them. But for me the real thing that will deny him a move to a top 6 team is his distribution. It's fucking gash. I don't remember it being that bad before his injury. And that also precludes a move to a top team abroad. What I'm saying therefore is, is his move as nailed on as we might fear?

The prospect of Jack leaving this shambles on 1st Jan is another reason to get rid of Hughes today, so the new manager can grow some green shoots of recovery and convince him to stay until the summer.

And Whinger isn't one of those Johnny Foreigners who demands a ball playing keeper.

His record on paper this season is not great but Jack is not to blame for any of our poor results. I never expected him to stay beyond next May but our current wankness is such that the chances of him leaving in January incease week by week.

They are both internationals & will need to be playing at the top level.

With how things are progressing Butland needs to get away from Stoke ASAP for the benefit of his career.
We want him to stay. He comes across as an intelligent person so will understand what he needs to do for his future.

He has no allegiance whatsover to Stoke City so he will do exactly what he needs to do for the sake of Jack Butland. How his future pans out remains to be seen but at the moment it's unlikely to be with us.

I would drop Butland. Grant in. Butland good, makes mistakes. He doesn't make as many as Ryan Shawcross and he's supposed to be our captain, absolutely chronic tackle a minute after conceding their first.
