The next 5 games imo will determine whether Hughes just sails through the season or comes under pressure. I would imagine the club will be expecting a good points return out of Bournemouth,Watford,Leicester,Brighton and Palace. Are you confident we will get one? Yes. Still the only team to score against Man Utd let's not forget. Man City also beat Watford 6-0 at their place. We will be fine.

Were people calling for Pulis's head after getting battered 7-0 at Chelsea? Today was horrendous. Enough for the manager to lose his job? Not sure. Watford lost 6-0 against Man City at home. Should Marco Silva leave? It happens, they're an exceptional side and they played at the top of their game yesterday.

You mean the bloke who allowed his side to concede 6 without reply at home to Man City? Yes the bloke whose team have 15 points and are currently in the top 4 of the table As mentioned in another thread. Let's see how we compare come May. I wouldn't start jizzing over Silva just yet.

His biggest signings are all unbelievably bad.
This Wimmer signing will do for him, unless Wimmer can turn things around this next couple of games he's going to be another one on the bench and looking for a loan in the next window

There is no one available at the moment because we really wouldn't get Ancelotti. I was in favour of a change in the summer but not now.

That's the thing. Not one of those blarting and demanding a change can come up with one realistic name who could take us in the direction they are demanding.

It's not just the manager, he's just part of the bigger picture. We try to do everything on the cheap. Sometimes you get what you pay for. Our recent transfer windows have been a joke.

I wouldn't argue with that but that comes from those running the club . If we are going to go down the penny pinching route then fair enough,PC may as well give his mate Tone a ring and we can go back to being plucky underdogs.

There doesn't seem any clear plan . It's very tough for clubs our size no doubt but I'm not sure what our identity is or what sort of team we are trying to develop. The club seems to want young players to come through and good to see Edwards get his chance . But the defending remains fragile , we still have no goalscorer and lack pace .

He needs to go, he’s overstayed his welcome as far as I’m concerned For who? This is what none of the doom-mongers seem to comprehend.....who do you bring in? Coates ain't going down the foreign route is he??? I wouldn't have issue if we did, pochettino had to start somewhere.....but there is a risk to any foreign appointment (one with no prem experience) but also possible reward? Same with any managerial appointment really. But there are no blinding candidates to replace him are there?

sacking him now isn't ideal. Should have gone in the summer.
we've peaked under him. As long as he's still here the best we'll be is mediocre.

Stuart Pearce. We're crying out for a manager who kicks every ball, wears his heart on his sleeve etc etc..... Wears his heart on his sleeve, kicks every ball.....yet almost got Man City relegated and won 3 out of 21 for Forest before getting sacked. I wear my heart on my sleeve and kick every ball, doesn't mean i can manage a club team for shit though mate

Honestly I’d take anything over Hughes at the moment, I’d be thinking sacking season is coming up so I’d take Big Sam or Koeman (I don’t know how realistic that last suggestion is)

I know this may not be popular, but if Mark Hughes does go I would like to see Frank Lampard installed. Intelligent, knows the game, great contacts and popular. Only lack of experience as a negative for me, so maybe an older overseer. Just my preferance. Jesus fkn wept, playing PC games again.

I got a bit of stick on another post. The knicker wetter term being used. I seem to see a lot of posts more or less agreeing with my points about the way Stoke are performing. It is not good enough, even with the expected loss at City. As someone has mentioned, far too many players are being carried by two or three others. Very, very frustrating IMHO.

Ah the old "who would you bring in" bollocks is rearing its head again.
Why should a supporter have to name names of managers who the club could replace Hughes with? I'm pretty sure that like me, there are a shit load of fans who don't follow all the other leagues around the world or even follow other leagues in this country, but employees of our football club should be doing this not only for players but also for potential managers just in case the situation at the club changes.
I'd never heard of a shed load of these successful foreign managers before they got jobs in this country, so nobody can tell me that there aren't managers out there who could do a better job than what Hughes is currently doing.

Honestly I’d take anything over Hughes at the moment, I’d be thinking sacking season is coming up so I’d take Big Sam or Koeman (I don’t know how realistic that last suggestion is) Well for what its worth I heard this morning . Allardyce allegedly declared his non interest in the Scotland job early and changed his i don't want a job stance because he allegedly has a whiff of a job at a struggling premier league club that meets his criteria . 1 location ( has to be close to his north west base ) 2 Has to be a proper club with sound and stable ownership and funds 3 Has to be able to bring own back room staff and have final say on transfers 4 If it's England has to be premier league 5 Has to pay him what palace were . Not saying it's us as we are notoriously prickly around budget , transfers and salary, Everton fit the bill , we do , Leicester ? just about geographically , Burnley if Dyche moves on , ( but they aren't struggling ) but there is a definite change in the public stance towards another job
