For those who don't understand betting this means if you bet £25 on England to win you will lose £25.

If it were 500-1 I might put a £ WHY? You’d still lose your £ . . . . . even if the odds were a million to one!

If England were 1000-1 I would be tempted to put £10 on Germany

It's going to be very boring and embarrassing isn't it ? Yet another extremely abject performance at a tournament which will further showcase just how poor our national side has become. I had read sometime ago that due to our world ranking we'd be in pot 2 for the draw and would have one of the top teams in our group, further limiting our chances to progress.
I wonder how the tv and newspapers will try to spin this in an attempt to make it seemingly worthwhile to watch our games ?
So what do we reckon, out at the group stage, or out in the second round (depending on the format). I'm going for scraping through the group then lose in the next round.

Are our players wank or is the manager wank, or both? Are we technically or tactically inept?
Whatever, I won't be wagering a penny on England and I find them quite painful to watch. Hate this international break as well.

It will be a success if we get out of our group.
We are a dreadful football team under a clueless manager.

I hope they do well but as always, when they come up against anyone decent, they will be cruelly exposed. ps dont forget to get very good travel insurance if you are daft enough to go over, following them.

EVERY qualifying team have a great chance of beating England except perhaps little Iceland . . . oh hang on a minute 😜

If England were 500-1 and Germany 1-500 I'd still rather put a tenner on the Krauts.
We have absolutely no chance

It's taken 50 years but everyone has realized we simply aren't good enough to win it having hung on to the belief that having won it once we could do it again. The mood will only get better when we finally see ourselves as plucky no hopers and get behind the team just for the hell of it rather than in any hope that we might actually win it. The completely unjustified optimism of previous tournaments needs to be seen for what it was. Completely delusional. Support the team for what they are - not for not being what they never were.
