Shouldn't make a joke out of that sort of thing but if he did what he did in England he'd have been jailed.
Drink driving is fucking disgusting, and causing someone's death through it and having almost no consequences? Fucking mental.

Really low to make a fucking banner just to mock him. He's without a doubt the best wing-back in this league though.

Shame on the the family valuing money more than their relatives life and more evidence that footballers of his ilk think they are bullet proof and can buy there way out of almost any situation.

Well he is friends with the family I don't think he was fooling anyone.

Same, but they're both stupid. Him for drink driving as he's the one that's supposed to be responsible, and her for getting in the car with him.

It crosses a line of taste but I am surpised at some of the holier than thou responses on here - We as a collective fanbase have had many a chuckle at player's misdeeds in the past - no-one seemed to mind the old 'Robinho - she said no' chants for example. I am sure that could be classed as unacceptable by some too.

Personally I think it crosses the line and I very much doubt whether her family would want her death to be publicly featured in this way, something which I don't suppose those who made the banner bothered to think about, let alone ask. I don't know what is meant by Spurs "punishing" the fans involved and I can see this ending up as a piece of FSF casework if they ban them, which I think would also be an inappropriate response and escalation. I just think that fans should be bigger and better than that, which is not in any way to defend what he did.

We all make mistakes, he's made a big one, still don't think he deserves to be reminded of his biggest mistake every time he goes to work. Just because he's playing top level football and earning lots of money doesn't mean he can't be affected by the crash every day of his life.

Technically it's factually correct 🤔 I know what you mean, when I read mocking I was thinking it would be waaaaay more over the top. It's just super Blunt. For all anyone knows it could have been made by Anti-Drink Drive campaigners, who feel very much that he is indeed a murderer. I wonder if Spurs would go after a fan if the banner said: Drink Drivers who kill others are Murderers! Call a Taxi, Save a life! Don't drive home if you are drunk! to be honest, the more I think about it, the more I think it's actually an important message The guy paid off the family and was only fined 54 grand, not surprised some people took offence to that :/

He had no intent on killing anyone, he made a decision to drive while drunk and he's put his own life and others in danger. Unfortunately one of them died. Surely there are better ways to campaign anti-drink driving than pointing the finger.

Pretty low to abuse a guy who knows he's made a big mistake that's probably changed his life completely. It literally didn't change his life at all though did it? He's a pro footballer at one of the biggest clubs in the world. And that woman is dead.

He's a pro footballer at one of the biggest clubs in the world. And that woman is dead. You don't know how it affected him. Just because you're a professional footballer and at one of the biggest clubs in the world doesn't mean you can't suffer from the backlash. He was young and made the biggest mistake he will ever make in his life. We all do stupid shit. The woman made the choice of getting in his car when she knew he was intoxicated, he made the choice of deciding to drive when he was intoxicated. They both made a huge mistake. Maybe he has counselling about it, maybe cries himself to sleep, maybe he's just brutal and doesn't give a flying fuck! The point is we don't know and it's not the right place for it. Malcolm also made a good point about how the victims family might feel with people making banners about it, or singing songs.

Technically it's factually correct 🤔 Actually it isn't. He didn't murder her. He caused the death of a friend by driving whilst under the influence. Very wrong and very stupid but not murder
