Wonder if he'll start him at Sobhi's expense tonight. Can't imagine his ego would tolerate extended periods of inactivity at Stoke City while wintering in a Crewe hotel?

I’ll be amazed if he starts because he’s been a passenger for me

Dare we dream that Choupo will start on the left and an actual striker (not Jese) will start up front?

He was unlucky to be dropped after the Bournemouth game really, thought it was his best game for us. At the minute Choupo is doing well on the left mind.

Dare we dream that Choupo will start on the left and an actual striker (not Jese) will start up front? I'd be surprised. Kind of expecting an unchanged team barring Grant for Butland (and maybe Jese for Sobhi?) Every time I see Choupo up front, it really brings home what a calamity our options there are. Surely he wasn't bought thinking he'd play regularly there? Having said that, I thought he played well individually against Leicester, but he didn't offer the team what it needed - because he can't because he isn't a striker (like the equally muddled half-way house signing of Jese) But he seems unwilling to start Crouch, Berahino is basically unselectable and he's boxed himself in with Diouf as wing-back

But I'm not sure what Hughes' plan was with these two. And I'm not convinced he knows either. It does look like we've thrown some shit and hope some sticks. I thought he was poor vs Leicester tbh.

I thought he was poor vs Leicester tbh. That seems to have been his main tactic for the last 18 months

He's 3 doors down from me up Wychwood Park, living opposite Kenwyne who has just sold his old house. A couple of streets away from Ricardo Fuller.

Worded badly, meant to come out as Choupo has done better than Jese on the left so far, so he should be there, apologies.
