I thought I would be be more upset after last night, for some reason I am not, deep down I expected it, I bet quite a few were not surprised by last nights result also. I expected us to get beat but doesn't mean I'm not thoroughly pissed off and embarrassed about it. Their reserve team have now taken two premiership scalps and they look like a club on the up. Walked the third tier a couple of years back, had struggles with managers since but are now playing a system, clearly defined for both the first team and the reserves to enable them to make 9 changes without a problem. That's two good mates over here who now have bragging rights when they shouldn't, the other being a Wolves fan

Another Bristol City fan. Just signed up to say what a great bunch of fans you guys are. Was at the game and talked to a couple of yours after the game, they gave credit where due and were complimentary about the club in general. Then reading through this thread I would say its to your great credit that you haven't gone all big-time Charley and become part of the Premiership bubble (good knowledge of our club and how we might play despite the difference in stature). In my opinion, I would say Hughes didn't take the game seriously enough. in the post game interview he said he had made it clear to them not to do that but that appears to be the extent of his effort. in the 1st page of this thread, without the resources he would have had available, you have spotted the players we already knew would play (Our managed named 3 of them in derby post game) and worked out the key weakness of one of our CB's. Seeing Crouch on the teamsheet was a relief and Flint deals with players like that in his sleep, but can't deal with pace and runs in behind. Berahino's pace (he got free once even in his cameo) & Shaqiri cutting in all game would have caused him all kinds of problems. It would have taken minimal effort for Hughes to work this out. Anyone obviously glad we one but Stoke fans are a class apart hope the rest of the season goes well for you. Good luck. My Rovers colleague at work was way 9!$$ed o££ that Taylor scored 🔴🔵

Just watching it again on 5 highlights show and the attitude is a big thing on the first goal Grant clears it and Saido just gives up on trying to challenge for the ball , leaves the centre half a free header back to put us under pressure . Only a small part in the goal but it's these things we need to get rid of or the for can soon set in .

There is a serious problem here. Whether Newcastle or Bristol City, there's a way to play against us that is very effective.
And in years of trying Hughes doesn't seem to have a single answer to it.
