He is a very direct player. That sometimes means he'll give the ball away but he's always looking to make things happen. And those who say his workrate isn't good enough need to see today's game. Ran his socks off.

I thought he worked hard but wasn't much of a threat going forward. Awesome corner though. We need more, we have a massive side.

He's realised if he wants a move away he's got to earn it like Arnie did.

The $#!t fans in the pub I was watching in were in awe of him. Strangely, one of'em had a manc accent! They didn't realise I was Stoke. Not until that 1st goal went in ⚽️

Too often no result from his possesion but he does pose a real threat.

Outstanding in an outstanding team performance.
The question is can he do it at Burnley, or indeed Stoke, on a cold November afternoon.
Consistency is the key....he definitely looks more interested and engaged than he has previously though.
Promising!

I'm far from a Shaqiri fan but he was good today. Looks at home in that system rather than stuck out wide. If you're far from a shakiri fan you can't like football

Superb when he went shoulder to shoulder with Lukaku and put him in his arse, shows the strength of the man. Frustrating, an enigma, but we're a far far better team with him in the XI..... Our PowerCube!

Hughes needs to tell him to stop coming so deep. He doesn't do damage in our centre circle.

He's a far better player for us now he's dropping into the hole and wanting the ball more for me. Let's hope it's not a very deep hole he's dropping into.

In my view his second best performance for us after the Man City one. Thought he was brilliant.

Constantly wants the ball. Always trying to make things happen. Ok it doesn't come off all the time but the lad seems intent on making a statement this season. Keep going shaq Spot on. He was brilliant

World class on his day make no doubt took the piss at times, I think he needs a run of games to be 100% shaqs tricks will appear soon He did Bailley twice with a flip flap in the space of 5 seconds If bailly played for anyone, other than man utd, then shaq would have had him Sent off At one point he took a ' fresh air ' swipe at shaq, missing the player and the ball, then took another 'fresh air ' swipe at him, then threw himself at him hong kong phoeey style, and decked him at the third attempt. Dangerous play and the most clear red card you ever will see

Coming inside a bit I think helps. He always wants the ball and I think he's finally twigged that he needs to move the ball quicker Lol at your picture of Arnie the snake makes me laugh every time i see it,Be good to get that on a huge banner for when we play West ham Inflatable snakes for the West Ham game to give Arnie a warm reptilian welcome back. Much easier than trying to sneak those draft excluder snakes in your trousers. Mind you the ladies would be well impressed!

Shaq is becoming the player we all hoped & knew he could be for us he constantly wanted the ball & the position he now plays in is more suited to him. Hope he stays injury free as the season could be massive for him.

Jeycov think you're nail on head there. Played very well in that fluid position whatever it is, but not stuck out to dry on the wing

If you're far from a shakiri fan you can't like football If you're such a fan you'd spell his name right! I've been disappointed on the whole with him hopefully he's stepping up this season. Why does that mean I don't like football?

I have been impressed with attitude sine Arnie left , he has really stepped up to the plate and his trying to take games by the scruff of the neck.
It could be a career defining season for him as he really looks up for the challenge and looks to be enjoying his football.
He certainly an x factor for us and I dont think it will to far down the road before he scores an absolute screamer.

Best game i have seen him play. He is a world class player. Playing much better this season but we have better players in the team with him now. I hope he can stay free from injury then we will see the best of him

Watching it again this morning, most noticable was Shaq chasing back, covering and actually winning the ball back off players twice the size of him. Last of all a series of flip flaps near the corner flag that completely bamboozles opposing players to the point where, opposing players are reduced to kicking him

I've noticed he seems to have got to grips with the physical side of the game more recently, rather than just going down he's using his body strength better and isnt getting shrugged off the ball anywhere near as often
