2 weeks ago we were one of the media favorites to be relegated, along with Hughes be one of the favorites to be sacked first. Now we are 11/1 and 11th favorite to relegated. Mh is now 33/1 in the sack race. I have to say that is a similar thing with my optimism. Before the season I was a little worried how things would go this year. However I look at the squad we have now, the performances against everton and arsenal, things are looking much better. Still areas need improving but the basis is there. I have to commend the club for what's been done so far.
Gooaaarrrrrnn stoke
A much more optimistic stokie

Now is the time for fans to bury the hatchet and get behind everyone at the club, particularly at the next match.

Now is the time for fans to bury the hatchet and get behind everyone at the club, particularly at the next match. Did you go to the Arsenal game there is no hatchet for fans to bury. Our start has made whether you agree with what he's doing or how he's doing it fairly immaterial. I'm still far from convinced by our squad building and some of the managers tactics but as long as he keeps doing ok its all just talking shop material.

Now is the time for fans to bury the hatchet and get behind everyone at the club, particularly at the next match. Couldn't agree more mate. Plenty of clubs that think they are big, and yet always seem to struggle. We have been stable as a club, last year we can all agree was poor but change has happened. We need to get the noise back, started against those in red

Mr Coates knows how to go about his business.
One day everyone will understand this and instead enjoy May, June and July... :-)

It gets me how threads start back in July asking for opinions on who will be relegated, managers to be sacked etc. i always say, lets see when the transfer window shuts.

I said after 20 minutes of the Arsenal game, "No way are we a relegation side."
Having seen how utterly gash Arsenal were at Liverpool perhaps I was over-confident!

What do you say after the window shuts? De Boer? I'd say more Bilic. Had a relatively poor season at West Ham last year and this season's start has been poor. Although they have been unlucky with 3 away games

I still think he will be sacked this season. Doubt it but we'll see whether he gets a new contract or even if he accepts one if its offered.

No doubt he will be re-mortgaging his house to lump a load more money on at 11/1.
