I still think he will be sacked this season. Doubt it but we'll see whether he gets a new contract or even if he accepts one if its offered. Hope he moves on

A win and a draw doesn't change a shite season. People are quick to change their mind. Still living in the past.

Hope he moves on Can't see him getting sacked but I wouldn't be at all surprised if there is a going of separate ways at the end of this season. TBF I don't see many managers that I'd want to keep for more than 5 seasons I think thats about their maximum shelf life.

Hughes has done plenty enough to redeem himself now, at least for me anyway, he's gone with 3 at the back, stuck to it and is buying players that suit it, made decent subs that impact the game and has strengthened us massively at the back
Early days but i'm excited to watch us again instead of feeling a deep sense of dread

I think Hughes is being given 1 last season after the Imbula/Berahino no shows. As things stand there looks to be light at the end of the tunnel but I can't see him being sacked. It'll be mutual consent at the end of the season or a new contract depending how things go.

Ok then.. If my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle. Truth is we're only 3 games in so why would my opinion change. None of this "If we won the league you'd want him sacked then?" bollocks.

A win and a draw doesn't change a shite season. People are quick to change their mind. If you think I've changed my mind, see if you can find a post where I've been critical of Hughes. You'll fail. I've always been and still remain 100% behind Mark Hughes. 9th, 9th, 9th, 13th: more than happy with that thanks; and a strong squad gives me more optimism for this season.

Now that's not an opinion, more of a prediction ? Now we know PC doesn't sack managers Willy nilly so you must expect (hope) we go on a dire run of form and results.

I think he will be sacked or either walk. The only thing that would change my mind and give some hope is if he corrected the areas where we're lacking. And no it's ridiculous to say that I hope we go on a dire run of form just so I can say that I'm right. I just can't see it ending well for him unless the weakened areas are corrected.

What do you say after the window shuts? De Boer? I'd say more Bilic. Had a relatively poor season at West Ham last year and this season's start has been poor. Although they have been unlucky with 3 away games Nothing unlucky about it - all down to the stadium they were gifted

Although you would have expected them to do better against a poor Newcastle team

However not too long ago folk were moaning their bag off that Hughes neglects defending. Well it appears he is trying to rectify that yet people are still...moaning their bag off that we are buying too many defenders ! Yes..we don't score enough goals ,but that's nothing new In fact , barring a purple patch under Mills and when Lou was here our goals for tally has never been better than modest for about 30 odd years ! I wasn't against a change of manager at the end of last season..but it become clear that realistically there was no one out there who ticked the boxes..and PC decided to back his man so it didn't matter a jot anyway.

ffs this board pisses me off at times. how many of you lot saying hughes should go actually go to games? very few imo. thank fuck peter coates knows that this board bears no relation to actual stokies. the majority who are happy to have a manager of mark hughes calibre. stick to playing playstation boys. leave the real football to us who actually care

I'm feeling much more optimistic after the latest signings and we will take some beating with this defence. He won't get sacked and we will improve. Stoke City FA Cup Winners 2017/18.

If he addressed the areas where we're struggling. Wing backs so we can play the formation that he seems so keen on. I'd like to see an actual striker come in as well. The fact he fails to bring in the players for the positions we need is what makes me think he doesn't have a clue. I don't think we will get relegated even if we brought in nobody from now.
