Is that this thing Tottenham are doing?
If so no, not in the slightest, I can't imagine anything more boring (pun unintended).

Their fans aren't particularly happy about this or the direction in which the club is going.... Blue Moon

£15k per season? How utterly ridiculous!

This sort of stuff makes me sick. It's like a bunch of simpletons standing there at the zoo, pointing at the fucking animals. Why would you want to pay money to look at a bunch of blokes standing in a tunnel for crying out loud? The game's gone.

£15k per season? How utterly ridiculous! They advertise it as a place to network for business purposes, so their target customers are businesses who can well afford it. Tottenham have a tunnel club planned at their new stadium, and I would think it'll be even more expensive as it caters to London businesses. I hope Man City draw Millwall at home in the cup and that the Millwall fans are briefed on exactly where these posh seats are. Schadenfreude at its finest.

No one would fit in our tunnel anyway. It's barely wide enough for the players to stand shoulder to shoulder.

What were Manchester City like before the big money? My impression is that they were a pretty down to earth local oriented club that mostly finished mid table in the top tier and were vulnerable to relegation like all mid table teams.

They were often in the same league as us during our wilderness years. Always had good crowds. Never had a major dislike of them still don't they're good to watch. I think this tunnel thing is more symptomatic of the strange things that people seem to want to do nowadays.

It is my understanding that you can sponsor a player at Stoke for 15k (last season), which gets you two in the Waddington Suite, a signed picture and visits with the player after the match. It keeps the prices for everyone else down (in theory) and probably pays for the free buses.

What a strange day that was. There were pockets of Man City fans, sat in different parts of the ground among the Stoke fans. The match was a sell out and some City fans that couldn't get tickets in the away end managed to acquire them in ours. Every now and then a group of them would charge across the pitch in a bid to get to their own end before the stewards or police could nab them. There would be spontaneous fights around the ground as City fans were outed either by their accents or cheers. From time to time you'd see someone literally thrown a out of their seats by Stoke fans, I remember one guy in the east stand being launched over a few rows!
