The more I read then the more a loan makes sense
Hugely talented player with a point to prove. I like that, look forward to seeing him play
However two reason he has a point to prove are question marks over his previous injury & over his application at PSG
Although this is little old Stoke compared to Real & PSG this is a make or break move for him. If he flops where next for him? If he succeeds than everyone wins

Excellent article thanks for posting "largely devoid of technical ability in their squad"!!!! Cheeky bugger. He writes like the last time he watched us was under Pulis 4/5 years ago.

There's not a fucking chance I'll be calling him "hess-hay" or "heth-hay" or any other pretentious bollocks like that. I'm from Stoke. I'll refer to him as "Jessy" or "that bloke who used to play for Real Madrid". Let' us know how you're going with Xerdan, marmate

Its looking to me like he will play upfront for us. Anyone else get that feeling? I have a feeling that, if we do not bring in a target man type forward, and Saido continues to fire blanks, another attempt at the false nine will not be far away, with a combination of 3 of Shaq, Choupo, Bojan and Jese used in a flexible front three.

Me too, the Janssen links just seem too vague and far-fetched given that Spurs are not in a position to sell. With no other striker rumours around PLUS signing both Choupo & Jese who are both slotted into the same position on the left (ahead of Ramadan). Im guessing Hughes is thinking a bit left-field and will go for a False 9 with a front 3 of Choupo / Jese / Shaq Will it be the return of Stokelona?

Just catching up on the media response and the club handling of this transfer. Getting at arnautovic doesn't seem a good move, it has triggered comparisons between arnie and jese, which puts our new signing under pressure.
I see all the west ham fans on Twitter laying into us, same old stuff about us being a club with no ambition on the way down.
I hope the team comes out in fighting mood on saturday.

Las Palmas wanted him to stay and extend his loan so you got that bit wrong already. He's a winger..they aren't really meant to score regularly. have some positivity. the negative crap on this board got boring months ago Las Palmas did not want him to stay. Hopefully he will prove me wrong. Yes they did there was quotes from their chairman saying they wanted him to extend the loan but Jese didn't want to do that.

I can`t understand why people talking about Jesè was a flopp after his injury.
2015/16 season after his injury he played 827 min for Real Madrid scored 5 goals 6 assists. That is a goal or assist every 75 min. How many of todays and previous Stoke player have been that effective in the top flight?
Paris SG is a top club in the world. They only gave Jesè 263 min to prove him self. He scored one goal. Berahino would`t even gotten the chanse to polish the shoes to the players in PSG and RM.
It is not easy even for top class players to amonges the 11 in clubs like PSG, Barca, Bayern M and RM.
I rate him higer than all our current players.
We should have bought him or had a option to buy him, but I guess we did`t had the chanse to do so.

Im hoping Hughes goes for it tomorrow and start Jese upfront from the first minute. Stick Berahino on the bench please - hes gonna stick out like a sore-thumb in this fixture

Not a bad start for a crocked player eh? And a pretty lucky left foot goal from a player who only has a right foot! Lol
😉
Start as we mean to go on hopefully.

Good touch, good movement, good pace, good ability, good finish. # Good player.
Saido did well laying it on for him but most else. Made a hash of the header off Eriks cross. Not convinced. I'd have rather Ramadan on for Shaq TBH.
Max did ok too.
Butland is God.

Worked really hard for the side, impressed. Unfortunately we seem to be going down the same route with Shaquiri.

Looking forward to see him play in the rest of the season for Stoke. Hope he keep fit and ready rocket Stoke up the table. :-) I also said on this forum that we should sign Kantè before he signed for Leicester and Van Dijk before he sign for Southampton. Regarding Berahino. I still can see him as a good option as Stoke striker, even with todays assist, sorry.

Thought he was superb today, looks like a class loan signing.
Don't think we'll be able to afford him by the end of the season unfortunately!!!
Had me and the young lad on the edges of our seats when he got the ball, real live wire and did some impressive covering.

Hes a proper player. Hes as good as Shaqiri and no doubt
Looking forward to the rest of the season and watching a guy of his talents literally take the piss out of the opposition in Stoke colours
I think he might become my favourite player for Stoke after just 70 minutes of watching him. I love his sublime confidence
