Interesting that they tried to nick Bruno from under our noses. It was reported that he failed to turn up for a medical as he preferred to return to Stoke.
It would be interesting to hear his opinion.

What if he's totally lost the confidence of the players and the management? How can that happen after a few summer weeks and four games? They brought in a man with a totally different playing style to the last guy and then don't give him any time at all to implement his style? He may have taken on an impossible task - the players he inherited aren't capable of his implementing his style. In fact, I don't think they are even capable of understanding his plan let alone putting into action.

Palace are fast becoming as irksome as those belligerent pariahs in the Taxpayer Stadium. In an ideal world both of them will be relegated, along with the media darlings Bournemouth with their whiny, flouncing, cheating great abortion of a squad, headed by that smug cunt Howe. I fucking hate Crystal Palace. No mark club who get as much coverage as they do because they are London based. Shit ground. Shit to get to. Cheerleaders are nice admittedly. The Crystalettes!?! You must have been well pissed mate, have you seen some of them up close, I'd prefer to shag the centre back

What if he's totally lost the confidence of the players and the management? The players and management need to get a grip, its been 3 games. They may not be capable. It's bit like asking someone has mastered simple arithmetic to solve a complex maths equation - it can't be done, and even if they are very bright, it still takes time to learn. Unfortunately, they have to take exams every week and will have failed the course before they get the hang of it.

If a player cant understand how to pass a ball then what are they doing in football? Different formations and systems are very in vogue but a player should be able to adjust. Look at Victor Moses - he hasnt found it that hard at Chelsea.

Look at Victor Moses - he hasnt found it that hard at Chelsea. Moses is the exception that proves the rule. Stoke had a similar problem when Hughes replaced Pulis but not as extreme, because Pulis had already started the process of changing the style (he just wasn't very good at it). Hughes was able to bring in some more skillful players, without upsetting the apple cart too much. However, our defensive record did suffer as Hughes focused on bringing in "flair players" at the expensive of solid defenders. Hopefully, he has found a better balance, but we still have a number of spots to fill (especially WBs).

De Boer can have no excuses. He's got off to a woeful start and they don't look like turning it around anytime soon.
You work with what you have. He should be trying to change things gradually, not trying to turn Joel Ward into Marcus Alonso

Another one in the category "odd appointment". Can players who are used to a Sam Allardyce purposeful football now adjust in 4 games to some Ajax school of football football? The owner has to take all the blame for this one, ah yes it's good ole Steve Parish again.

Why isnt eddie howe job on the line without a win also? Because he is English and got blonde hair, typical media lovely boy, small club fighting in a ring much bigger than they should be in, nice climate etc etc. (And a face that I would never get sick of punching.)

Why isnt eddie howe job on the line without a win also? Because he deservedly has a huge amount of credit in the bank for getting Bournemouth promoted from League 2 all the way to the Premier League. I can't believe people think Howe's situation is in any way comparable to de Boer's.

They should have buried Burnely yesterday they had enough clear cut chances, that Dann header was an awful miss, and the manager can't legislate for an awful back pass, seems mental to sack him now.
next 4 league Fixtures:-
Home v Southampton Away v Man City Away v Man Utd Home v Chelsea
they could be on 0 points after 8 games, although they should get something against Southampton who look poor so far

Allardyce spent £80m last season. De Boer got £7m to spend this window. You have to think about Allardyce quitting in somewhat strange circumstances as well. All suggests something very wrong at board level, sacking a manager with a long term (or 3 year) plan? Fucking madness.
