Surely people would prefer to use Ramadan and not get pissed about by wba till window shuts ?? Most games last season I wanted Ramadan on in place of arnautovic at half time anyway.

Not straight away and for every game, no Paul. We must have 3 wingers in the squad for me. Sohbi has great potential but I'm not sure I want to put this responsibility on him yet. Arnie's are big shoes to fill. But if you're new left winger is a success, where does that leave Sobhi again? If we bring in a new big money left winger, I wouldn't be surprised if HE put in a transfer request too. For me, he's shown enough to have some faith in him at least until January. If we are going to spend big on a winger, I'd much rather we went for a right winger with genuine pace (something we desperately, desperately need and play Shaqiri as a number 10. If Verlinden steps up then we might not need another winger at all. However if we do agree right winger would be preferable.Either full on first teamer with Shaqiri at 10 or a player who can cover Shaqiri/push for a place.

I really like Chadli tbf, i'd happily have him as an Arnie replacement and for probably a third of the price £7-8m ?? Not a chance, unfortunately. They'll want £20m and accept £15m I reckon.

I was definitely low balling but his WBA career is already over following his spat with Pulis. he will rot just like he let Berahino so his club aren't in a position of power to negotiate for much more than £10m i'd say.

Why the fuck are we monitoring , we have know for two weeks about Arnie , its candidly totally pathetic management of the transfer strategy .
West ham have made three hostile bids and secured a player under contract, and appear set to sign Hernandez and Hart in the same week, while we have monitored and considered Delph and Indi for three months something is very very wrong in the way we approach our transfer business and has been for years , and if the bury bad news strategy is welcome a on loan centre back for£7m then its a very poor show .

Chadli played in a TP side though. i started it hoping Chadli would come out better lol I think they've come out even in the stats. number of passes isn't really a measure of anything (i bet Joe Allen had 143,468 completed passes to Williams + Britton at Swansea) and Chadli played more centrally for WBA so fewer crosses.

Dear me, so because someone says the word 'monitoring' in a tweet you automatically assume that's all we're doing? You're so naive.

We paid big money for Imbula, doesn't mean we can recoup it. He's going to be frozen out of the WBA squad for the rest of that fat long contract and it wouldnt be that bad of a decision to move him on even at a loss.

Good player, but I'm not sure we need him. If he's coming as a winger, you risk upsetting Ramadan, and there's no point spending minimum £15m on a number 10 when we already have one.

Wouldn't argue mate it's just I'm not 100% convinced he's ready yet. I really like him but I'm not ready to hang my hat on him yet as his end product isn't good enough yet. Edit: I also think Bojan will leave so Shaq could end up at 10.

We are absolutely deluded if we think WBA will roll over on Chadli , they rolled us over on Berahino twice last year and left us with a " dead duck " for three months of last season , that will be their very minimum position , we need to forget and move on .

For me I think Ramadan can step up to the plate technically and he definitely has the physical attributes. What I am most concerned we will struggle to replace is the arrogance. Something we had in Ric as well. Very good at getting under the skin of the other teams and 'ruffling feathers', were losing a big presence in Arnie.
We need a maverick, technical and unpredictable to replace him.

I can tell you now Pulis response to selling to a rival especially us will be very very different to ours on Arnie , at best deadline day , after weeks and weeks of delaying , and complications, followed by last minute he is staying , leaving us high and dry as they did last summer , we must be dafter than even i think this if we believe this is good use of our time . Unless of course we know all that and actually just want the noise and a convenient WBA are very difficult to deal with on 1st Sept as our Porto and Man city etc In fact here is a thought perhaps we should buy our own players easy to deal with a knock down prices . Benji some of what you say can make sense but I'm Finding i can now tell your the poster without even going to the top :0)

Chadli played in a TP side though. i started it hoping Chadli would come out better lol Haha - maybe this will help: - Chadli actually played 600 minutes less than Arnie last season (2100 v 2700), so nearly 7 full games fewer or around 18% of the season - His pass success rate is higher - Over the last 3 seasons Chadli has scored 1 goal more than Arnie whilst playing nearly 2000 minutes (around 22 games) less than him From an attacking point of view, I think he definitely has the edge. A concern would probably be his defensive duties; Arnie gets stuck in and helps Pieters out in his own half. Just not really seen that side to Chadli's game, although you'd imagine TP will have drilled something into him during his time at WBA!
