I wouldn't sell him.
I think he's aged quite well, ignoring the fact he's still got a decent engine he's learnt to use his body well with time. He jumps much less for headers choosing to get a better position which I think improves the control he gets. These small things make me think he uses his experience and is adapting his game.
I think it will be interesting to see how he operates as part of a two upfront with some forward thinking wingers. I don't think he can do it week in, week out as an inside forward although I think one of his best performances was against Chelsea in that 3-2 win where he bullied Azpilicueta.

The lunacy continues.
Our best two outfield players are Walters and Whelan.
They are head and shoulders better than anyone else at the club.
The thought of either leaving should guarantee any manager the sack immediately.

Where's the post saying he deserves a proper send off? Foxysgloves? Yeah. It's not as if he's been an integral part of what we've achieved in recent years. Has played with the passion and heart we all demand in our players. Gave us some of our most memorable moments in our Premier League era. Has become our record Premier League goalscorer. What the fuck have we got to thank Jon Walters for?

Pulis has his head screwed on and Walters is testimony to that. Done at the highest level. Top draw

Walters along with Whelan have been the bedrock of this club for years now and some folk on here need to take a good look at themselves for the abuse they give them. Walters still has something to offer and I'd be amazed if we're not extending his contract by at least another year when you see some of the other deadwood that have extended

Same goes for Whelan. If they both go Hughes has extra added pressure come the beginning of next season because the old guard he has often reverted to will be all but gone.

Sorry, but the guy is total wank. Whenever you hear praise about him it's just for his "Work ethic" never for his footballing ability.

Not football related but I lost a fair bit of respect after seeing his views as a self serving Tory wanker. He's got his money so fuck everyone else kind of thing.

God we've got some right ungrateful fuckers on here Fuckin poor form Ungrateful? I'm sorry but lets get one thing straight. No single fan of this or any other football club owes anything to any footballer for their club. He has been paid handsomely, then even more so when he tried to manipulate the club. Walters is no mug, he generally knows what's going on. Ungrateful... If Stoke hadn't come in for Walters when we did he would have stayed a Championship player at best his entire career, no other club were going to bother with him while he was at Ipswich. I like him, he's just not particularly great at footy mate.

All this talk of replacing him with a younger hungrier model, is entirely the problem, every signing we've made to replace people has failed dramatically. Doesn't seem as though whoever is responsible for recruiting players has a clue.

He has played when injured by all accounts and i find your disrespectful attitude baffling. There are plenty of players that have and are playing this club for mugs,Jon Walters isn't one of them.
