I looked at our players today and struggled to see this "great squad" people talk about. Woeful in midfield, dodgy at the back and inept up front. Even our star men, Arnie and Shaq looked lost. Whelan and Johnson are shot and pinching a living. There is no plan or cohesion. I think it's gone too far wrong for Hughes to turn it around. I think he's fucked it up. I think he has to go and so do quite a few players. Just out of interest which players want him gone? I reckon that's supposition mate. Fair enough if you think he's fucking things up, but I don't know which players you're thinking of. Difference between players who dropped bollocks, or weren't up to scratch and those not playing for the team/manager. I don't think many of the players want him gone because if he goes they go too. No one else would give new contracts to Dads Army players and keep the promising youth on the bench . Or indeed loan out players that have more talent in their big toe than half the team have between them.
No I think most of our players are comfortable pinching a living at what they all describe as a very nice club.
I always ask how many of our players would get in a top 10 side? at the moment, Shaq (when he can be arsed) Arni (when his head has not gone down) Butland (If he regains his previous ability) Joe Allen (If his role is better defined) Bruno Martins Indi (If he is counted as one of ours) Berhahinio (Given time to ease back in at least a season) The rest have got NO CHANCE half are what I call squad players the rest are on a retirement fund raiser.
Edit I forgot Grant and Sobhi as they never get to play for us anymore.

He may well be losing the fans and if that is true it could spell the end.
