We don't know that for sure, we don't know one way or the other, I think he'll stay but more down to Coates being willing to give him a second chance. Exactly - this "he will get us relegated next season" is just supposition and exaggeration. No one knows what next year will bring. I'll trust in Peter Coates' judgement. With sacking managers I'm not sure I can, Pulis was at least one season too late, but ah well, if he stays I'm still going to be ranting

Really hope we have started looking for the person to replace him! Dyche would be my favourite, but there surely are other good options out there too!

We know we are safe. What's the point in giving Hughes any more time? We are defensively inept and toothless up front. Get it done tonight! I would do this first thing Monday morning - we have nothing now to lose this season. Take the pain now and give Ramadan and some of the kids a chance for the last game.

Dyche is basically a younger Pulis - very much plays direct, percentage football and has an awful away record. We may as well sign th capped one himself if we are going down that route! *winkyface*

Seems to me the only people who want Hughes to stay are those who don't go to the games, based the fact they seem to post during or just after matches.

I must say that Burnley have looked better than us against the better teams at home! Not only theit attitude, but also the ability to match these teams! Ok we have done a little bit better away than them, but we also should if you compare their players to ours! I don't know why you think it will be better to stick with Hughes as I hardly have seen a less inspired performance than we showed in the first half today! In fact I felt we didn't try to hurt them at all before we were 2-0 down!

I've said it for a few weeks now but he needs replacing, unfortunately I don't think it happen. His motivational skills must be no existent judging by today's "performance"

But anyway, I digress. I think that Dyche's style of football would just represent a step backwards. I mean that is why we sacked Pulls, because we wanted better football and to push on. Dyche (in my opinion) would represent a very sideways step.

Players he hasn't been able to bring in at Turf More!

Having said that, I would be much more excited to see someone with a much more, err, shorter(?) playing philosophy. Clement, Rowett ... maybe someone foreign with new ideas?

he's had so many chances to change the system and the side ,but no play the same old faithful players ,walters ,whelan , crouch, Johnson and the like . and what do we get, the same result , we either lose or fucking draw. he has gone as far as he can go with this shambles of a team ,hughes either step down or change your whole system . it's a good job there are a few worse teams than us this season because we would be certs to go down.the money he has spent this season should have at least put us in the top 10,but no we are wallowing in the bottom 6.

I quite like him and he's very highly thought of in footballing circles. He failed at Derby but that club in general just seems a mes with their new owners. I supposed you could argue that pretty much anyone would be a gamble barring someone like Pulis or Allardyce (poor football but guaranteed safety ...). Any other preferences beyond Dyche for you?

He's a man with a clear playing style and philosophy - something that we are lacking at the moment. I think he's done a fantastic job at Celtic as well. 44 games (domestic) unbeaten is a superb feat!

Hughes is so frustrating when it comes to virtually every aspect of his position. Lineups, subs and player management, he really is shit during, before and then condescending afterwards matches as if Stoke were hard done by in the match. He could go, I wouldn't care at this point. The Sobhi treatment, Imbula debacle and lack of using our decent youth players. I'm worried that he will miss the boat this summer again and spend on the wrong players and leave the club hanging. Gah infuriated by the players lack of effort and caring especially Johnson.

We really look like a team sleepwalking towards a desperate relegation battle next season. This season has been one of massive regression and Hughes doesn't seem to have the faintest idea of his best formation or starting 11 or where to turn next. The team look disinterested, unmotivated and clueless. I desperately wanted him to produce a team these last few weeks that showed he had a clear plan and strategy for the next season but the exact opposite has happened, we are an embarrassing shambles.
