Me too, but it's a real concern if things carry on as they are .... but we won .... ??? What did we win?

Yes we won, which appears is obviously a disappointment to a few on here, you appear to be one of those. DaveF makes a balanced point which is obviously at odds with your narrative, so like most smart arses you go with sarcasm, albeit a poor imitation. Maybe a trawl of some of the other sites may help with your perspective. I've had a visit to the West Brom forum, and it appears your suggestion of a visit to a GP is one that a few on there need to take. westbrom.com/forum/index.php?topic=15324.0I await, "what's that got to do with how shit our season has been response, or how they finished above us" (thanks largely to a 90th minute defensive lapse courtesy of two of Hughes' better signings)

I'm always made-up when we win.......simple as that! I still know this season has been poor and I've wanted Hughes out , as such, as I believe him to be at the root of the issues we have experienced. But let's face it he's definitely going to be here next season so I hope he lifts his game in the off season and gets his tactics and team selection right next season. I remain very dubious, tbh, but it's now time to get behind him as excessive criticism will be counterproductive, I believe. Goaarn Stoke!!

Trust you to bring this back up again. It deserved to be for the having 3 right backs in the squad decision, one isn't a right back so be naturally starts, one is leaving, one is shit so they're on the bench. Whilst the future is nowhere to be seen. He's got to go. this

Bayern is just pissed off because when he applied for Hughes' job, they all fell around laughing, and told him to fuck off.

Poor league this season below top 7. We've stunk the place out like a good many teams in and around us. That is true. I suppose one can argue that the other teams after 7th have not been significantly better than us. And the question of the managers future was settled last week. I have deep concerns about Hughes transfers, his team selections and tactics, the fact that we have won two games I think in 17 months against a top half team, been on the receiving end of numerous thrashings. But that is that and we can only hope that hughes sorts this out and re-shapes the squad this summer

I'm pissed off because we've had to put up with utterly shite football for 18 months and a side that is going backwards. No manager at any other club survives this period like he has.

One swallow does not a summer make - chuffed with the win - especially for those that follow away - but changes nowt for me re my overall opinion of Hughes ability to manage at this level. That said, seems he's gonna be staying and that changes nothing for me in that I will be there on the glorious 12th ready to go again and I dearly hope he gets the team playing and proves his critics, me included, wrong.
We shall see.

Peter will just look at the win and the comfortable looking league position Or he may look at the league as a whole, the overall stability of the club, the lack of obvious replacements, season ticket sales on a par with last year, a fully fit squad, another £80+ million and think, "Do you know what I'll sack him, because he doesn't play kids, he doesn't play imbula who unlike every other foreign star signed by teams like us is a success!!" Which is what i said using far less words

So in the tense battle to save his job, Hughes managed 5 points in his last 5 games.
When faced with the same situation, TP managed 8 points in his last 5 games and it wasn't enough.
Conclusion - Hughes will be sacked.

Conclusion - Hughes will be sacked. I think there was more to Pulis's sacking than his last five games. Falling season ticket sales and fractured relationships within the club may also have played a part. The club seem happy with ST sales and there's nothing to suggest that Hughes doesn't see eye to eye with colleagues.

As far as I know Hughes isn't a fraudster with the brains of a gnat - so that probably goes in his favour.

Which is what i said using far less words Apologies i read your short post as saying that he would look at this win and the comfortable position and make a decision based on that. Respectfully I'd suggest that he may look at a few other things to, such as: Previous seasons. Lack of sensible alternatives Relative performance of the teams around us. A late equaliser or two and an off side goal away from 8th, yet 10 points from safety. An inside knowledge of the squad. Financial stability. Sorry i didn't pick out all of this from your post.
