What a signing that would be but I'm sure bigger clubs would be interested.

I can only really see Joselu and maybe Walters leaving. Leaves us with: Saido Diouf Crouch Signing this lad would basically be saying either 'we're sticking with 442 forever', which would just about settle me on hughes out, or that Saido, for £12m, isn't our first choice striker. Its not the area we need to be buying 1st XI players in, as much as i like the look of him. If our main problem is being too slow, Dost won't help that at all.

Swap him for Crouchie job done. Him and Berahino would be the new Crouch/Defoe

You need more than 3 strikers mate and bizarrely he obviously doesn't rate Diouf The thought of Crouch being one of our main strikers fills me with dread and would be suicidal

Swap him for Crouchie job done. Him and Berahino would be the new Crouch/Defoe But that would mean more 442. Where our best attackers are wasted as deep wingers, our midfield gets overrun by the likes of Swansea, all our defence can do is hoof it forward, and our strikers get no service because there's no-one creative in the middle of the park.

You need more than 3 strikers mate You do, but we don't need a new starting striker (which Dost would definitely be) unless he says that Saido will be a rotation or backup, or we're playing 442. 442 is utter wank. And the former point is a big admission to make 6 months after spending £12m.

Well what'll happen is it'll get hoofed to him, 20 yards in their half. He'll bring it down, realise only Saido is near him and he's marked. Shaq and Arnie will be coming forward from the back, because theyre now apparently best as defensive wingers. Add to that, our midfield can't pass wind, so no point giving it to them. We'll be just as slow as we are this year, and with just as little service for the strikers.

Most of our build-up play is so slow Messi would struggle ,by the time we cross the defence is well and truly set.

It looks at times like a team put together that morning having never trained together. Watch teams like Leicester or Swansea (although they're quite crap), along with the obvious (albeit more talented and expensive) Liverpool and Arsenal and you can see what a quick break looks like. We seem almost too scared to commit players forward at speed. I think better defensive midfielders and more organised defence would help give more confidence to break forward. We perhaps need more pace although arnie and shaq aren't slow either.

I like the idea of 4-4-2 with Saido playing of someone good in the air and on the ground (i.e Crouch).
But it renders the signing of Imbula and Allen, for £30m+, pointless and I don't see how Bojan and Shaqiri amongst others could possibly fit in?
Hughes still has no idea what direction he wants to take the club, and that's worrying. I want us to spend money this summer but if it was my cash, I'd be giving him close to fuck all.

Even if Scholesy negotiates a big discount we are still looking at the thick end of 25 million for a bloke who apparently has had one good season. I think a change in tactics would be better..and it would cost nowt...other than a change in the managers attitude.

Don't worry the Dost transfer will fit like a glove. We need another LB anyway, and Saido can play RB.

Most matches there are two or three chances but we don't take them Last match Arnie had one memorable one (double chance) Saido 2 Look at the table .... we don't score enough, our goal difference is well onto the negative.
