What we need is a goalscorer, if this guy can do that get him signed. We are going nowhere if we don't score goals At 50 million quid? Even if Scholesy negotiates a big discount we are still looking at the thick end of 25 million for a bloke who apparently has had one good season. I think a change in tactics would be better..and it would cost nowt...other than a change in the managers attitude. Easier said than done, all transfers are a risk; we need better than players scoring 6 a season. If we can't score we need to be able to stop the other team scoring and we give away far too many silly goals.

We've got goalscorers, the problem is they get about two chances every season! Our only creativity is on the wing, double up on them and we have nothing. Goalscorers are the ones who score goals So no we don't. Goalscorers help create their own goals. Most matches there are two or three chances but we don't take them Last match Arnie had one memorable one (double chance) Saido 2 Look at the table .... we don't score enough, our goal difference is well onto the negative. We don't, I agree, but that problem for me isn't with the strikers. We played a midfield of 3 hard working defensive players last game, it leaves Shaqiri and Arnie to create everything, and massively diminishes our threat going forward. With a creative influence in the centre of midfield, it lets the team attack from all angles, so you can't just double up on the two wingers. Joe Allen's goals early on masked the fact we weren't creating much with the 433 of Whelan, Cameron and Joe.

That we do agree on, Finding a ( Bruni) quality lb and two players to control the midfield would be my priority. We have plenty of players who can be creative from midfield but first we have to control it. Most of the time our midfield has the stopping power of a wet paper bag with a hole in it.

Which is why Hughes goes with those 3, its a TP cage but with 3 players because two aren't quick enough now.

You need more than 3 strikers mate You do, but we don't need a new starting striker (which Dost would definitely be) unless he says that Saido will be a rotation or backup, or we're playing 442. 442 is utter wank. And the former point is a big admission to make 6 months after spending £12m. 442 is utter wank ? You obviously arn't watching Juventus.Classic 442 😉😊

The lad was quality at Wolfsburg too and fired them single handedly to a brilliant finish a few seasons ago. Look where they are now without him!

It looks like that discount won't be so hefty after all. Maybe we can get him for 40million since he is a proven goalscorer. What are we waiting for?
