Check this fellas,
I just went downstairs in my building to go get some tins from the beer store and I saw a man in red & white stripes from a distance, with a group of other workmen. They are bricklayers working on the scaffold set up on my building. That is a RARE sighting in Canada!
So I rode my bike over to him and sure enough he was wearing a short sleeve Le Coq Sportif with # 7 Harris on the back.
He couldn't speak a word of English, I think they were Romanian or something, him an his pals were just laughing at me, I was so excited, as I kept showing him my Stoke card and my keychain etc!
I rode away all smiles singing GO On Stoke and they were laughing and waving goodbye!!
Has anyone else met random people wearing Stoke clobber? Who the heck is #7 Harris?

Yeah I've seen one, he wears number three and I've seen him numerous times this season looking completely lost in the left-back position.

I couldn't afford to make it to the match, was like a 400km drive, so I watched Jonny score in the town square of Pula flanked by two huge Dynamo supporters who were cheering with me He got the better deal, the one he gave me was all stained with grass and beer lol

I was thinking maybe he got it in Europe somewhere and brought it here, I was baffled at # 7, was trying to remember when Pennant signed and who had the the number before him. Its a Premier league shirt because my Fuller one has the same style of number / letters

The most random person I've ever seen wearing Stoke City clobber was an air stewardess on an Air Canada Jazz flight between Kelowna and Fort St. John. She was wearing Wayne Biggins earrings.

Strangest one for me was bumping into a fella wearing a Stoke shirt in the middle of China, Wulingyuan to be exact. He knew little English and I knew little Chinese but we still enjoyed a couple of beers.

I saw a fisherman on the beach in Goa, India wearing an old Stoke top, le coq sportif 2001, nice shirt. He had befriended a Stoke fan years before who had been traveling Asia. I gave him my warrior home shirt as an update!

Nowhere near as random but i also remember walking down the street in withington, south Manchester. a lad was walking towards me and from ages away i was convinced he was wearing the old Ricoh blue away kit, as he got closer i realised he definitely was. When he got within five feet i whipped me coat of the reveal i had the exact same shirt on!
For a split second i think he thought i was some kind of flasher! The relief on his face when he realised i was just a fellow stokie was palpable

There was a prison documentary on ITV about 3 or 4 years ago. One of the inmates was from Meir wearing the blue and black Adidas away shirt. He explained in his interview to the camera that during his trial he'd jumped out of the witness box and punched his mother in the face, because he was unhappy with the evidence she'd just given. Never rate.

Was it a one finger wave. Maybe they took the piss after I left who knows, some of his mates didn't get it, but the guy wearing it did. He just shrugged with a huge smile when I asked how he got it, he couldn't understand me but had the biggest smile on his face and was very proud of it

Saw a Chinese guy in Verona airport about 5 years ago wearing a Stoke top. I was there with work and had booked my return flight to get home for a midweek game that night. So I went over and said : are you heading back for the match tonight ? He did not speak a word if English and just looked at me with a puzzled look. So I pulled out my season ticket (was before the new card system) and he jumped up with a smile and pulled out a ticket stub from the previous Saturday's match which was Chelsea at home. Then he started hugging me and for his wife to take our photo. No idea why he had been to the Brit, but hope he still wears the shirt back in China with pride!
