Not sure of the intricacies of loan deals and the likes, but surely, it was as obvious in January, as it is obvious now, that he did not figure in any short term plans and has barely made the bench let alone the staring XI... So why the hell did we keep him, why not send him back to Citeh, or were we contractually obliged to hold on to the useless lump of lard. Really riles me this does...Grrrrrrrrrrr.... And to send Bojan out on loan, well what does that tell you about LMH's judgement....

Having signed Berahino, if there was an option to send Bony back and avoid the wages, it would have happened. The deal must have been a commitment for the season, without interruption (maybe barring injury). It's irritating I know, but when we got him here, there was unanimous approval for him (including me) even though he had hardly played for ages.

To send a player back all 3 parties have to be in agreement Me...we are paying him £80k per week to sit on the sidelines when we can't score goals so we've got him why not use him I think ultimately this deal and imbula could be the deals that have him looking over his shoulder

Hold on, most were jizzing themselves on here when we signed Bony. Some of us were wondering if we got the Swansea or the Man City couldn't give 2 fucks version. We got the Man City lite version. Not worthy of a place in an side let alone ours. Oxygen thief.

Hughes (I'm assuming) insistence to bring him and Imbula to the squad and never play them, even in the rut we've been in for 18-19 months, even in a game to prove they aren't up to scratch... Stinks to high heaven and I hope the person / people responsible get right royally fucked for it.
Any player that's out of regular contention needs a run of 4-5 games to get back into the swing of things. Neither were given that. Same with Joselu.

yep but the manager chose to sign a 'waster'
so to me, its the managers fault
he made the call
and the club should have done their homework on the player far, far better
its obvious - they did not

Have you thought that there might be another reason were not playing him that if he plays so many games we have to give man city more money for the loan and as he's a waste of space why pay this extra money the same might be in Imbula's case that the way we have financed the deal could be linked to appearances and after his cup performance stoke have decided to get rid and not pay the full price of the instalments just a guess though but would make sense

Despite the fact that his presence saw the most consistent set of positive results that we've produced all season. The only game he turned up in was against his former club Swansea and what about the other players who were playing in those games did they not contribute, to be honest all I saw was a lazy strut around player when he was in the team, look back at some of those threads at that time he was in the side moaning about him saying he was only playing because of the wages we are paying him.

Personally the signing worried me from the off. Not because of any magical powers knowing Bony was a busted flush it was just the total contrast of attributes to Berahino the striker we'd been chasing all Summer. How do you leap from wanting one type of player to wanting something completely different. It demonstrated perfectly that we were signing players then working out what to do with them after we got them which is bonkers. The signing of Joe Allen was largely the same, clear signs of making it up as you go along.

Bony's record playing for Stoke Plyd 10 Won 3 Drawn 3 Lost 4 Goals 2 v Swansea The wins Sunderland 2-0,Hull 2-0 & Swansea 2-0 the defeats included a 4-0,4-1 & 3-1 defeats hardly great stats really three of the 4 bottom teams we defeated it's that what makes stats become a load of bollox.

As I've said on a few occasions we took 10 points out of 12 in a good spell with Bony in the team and he played his part in those games. To cast him aside like the manager has done is nothing short of scandalous for me but then again some of his other decisions are also questionable so it's not surprising.I was told the fallout in training with Walters definitely played its part in this decision but I suppose we'll never know

For what it's worth I slightly preferred what Bony had to offer in the dozen or so games he played for us to anything I have so far seen from Berahino in a similar number of games but Saido is our player and we have all our eggs in that basket and that one simply has to work at some level doesn't it?

I'd agree that Bony did 'slightly' more than Berahino who's left me feeling pretty underwhelmed so far but it's like two bald men fighting over a comb. I can't think Bony is the answer to anything which is a bloody shame because we've seen it for the Sheep Botherers.
