Arnie scored a spectacular goal last week and his pass to Walters created the 2nd. He missed a couple of good chances, but would be one of the first names on the team sheet. If anything the greater worry is that he will not be at Stoke next season. I would like to see Ramadan given more time not sure where he fits in when Shaqiri and Arnie start. It's all about opinions, it's very frustrating I am concerned that all is not well behind the scenes. An interesting 2 months ahead Arnie says on the sky football app today that he turned down a personal approach from Koeman and lukuka to join Everton Sadly, At the end of this season he may be tempted to move on

Whelan Walters,Crouch,Adam all to start....it's what Hughes does. Another incipid performance to follow with the next game seeing them all dropped and replaced with other players who will put in an equally incipid performance and then return back to Whelan, Walters etc......and repeat. Just end this season now, I've had enough.

Any 11 that doesn't involve crouch and Allen will do for me. That would be the same Peter Crouch that came on against Hull and scored what turned out to be the winner? Hmmm.... One of the differences between this week and last was the fact we had one player (SJW) who can cross a ball anywhere near the danger area. Doesn't matter who plays up front if they don't get the service. There was plenty of crosses, their keeper just knew how to deal with them, that aside he was pretty bad.

Johnson shouldn't have been given a contract. He was tho. So it's obvious why Edwards didn't feature. Oh it is. The manager is an absolute cretin.

As long as 442 is kicked into touch once and for all!!! Get 3 in midfield so we aren't outnumbered and give us a chance of dominating possession. If we have two defensive midfielders (Cameron and Allen or Whelan or Muniesa) we can then play Imbula, Shaq or Arnie as the attacking midfielder with less defensive responsibility.

After all the money we have spent on the midfield, most of us are reduced to naming Cameron in midfield, which is staggering. He can get about the pitch, has a certain amount of athleticism but premier league standard, never. It's a sad state of affairs that he has become a preferred option. He was gash today, couldn't pass and couldn't control the midfield along with his partner. If this is the best we can do in midfield because he's perceived to be the best of a bad bunch we really have gone backwards. We couldn't control the midfield because we only had two in there against Siggurdson, Fer, Ki & Britton!

I know Hughes was after him last season and just wondered if he looked any good? My stream kept freezing so it was hard to tell!

at least that selection would have the 'legs' needed to compete in the premier league
no Adam or Whelan - ever again
Butland is not ready - that much is plain too

The responses on this thread are highly informative of where we are as a club at present. You would normally expect 1 or 2 or even 3 different names and perhaps a version on a formation. However, just like our season we have multiple options and multiple formations. It is a shambles This far in to the season and changing formations every game and within games - total shambles Absolutely agree. Anybody suggesting that he changes it every week as a direct plan to counter the specific opposition is completely kidding themselves, he changes it every week because he's desperately hoping that he might just luck out on a formation that actually works for him.

That's what it looks like. I just wish he'd settle on a system(whichever one)and live and die by it. He's also buying players who suit a certain system and playing them in another one! He tries 3-5-2 without buying wing backs. He's all over the place like a mad man's shit.

Why do people keep butting Edwards in, like Hughes will drop Johnson when hes just signed him up again? he will revert back to whelen etc. as he aims to scrape a win to protect his job. People resented Pulis for his lack of trust in young players, now hes playing that 18 year old Leko most weeks...

He's not started a game and played a total of 99 minutes with 22 appearances on the bench. Not knocking it but he's hardly thrown in him at the deep end.....

I would have to drop Berahino I am afraid. When we signed him I was delighted and thought he would be the answer (and I hope he still will be) but as the weeks go by you can see that he is not the palyer that burst onto the scene with WBA a few years back, he is not really pacey, pretty poor in the air and doesn't link up that well in my opinion, and of course his confidence is shot, those 2 misses on Saturday plus the needless push in the back on their defender when the ball was going out for a corner means he needs to be taken out of the firing line. For me we need to bench him and blood a youngster such as Campbell or N'Goy and see how hey fair as they cannot be any worse.
Also Pieters needs dropping as his form is more Conference Premier that Premier. Finally what has happned with Affelay???
Butland
Bardsley Shawcross Indi Muni
Allen Cameron
Ramadan Shaqiri Arnie
N'Goy
Bench- Walters, Johnson, Diouf, Edwards, Grant, Adam, Verlinden
Lets mix it up a bit and see what happens
