I hope that we go there and have a go at them. Personally, I would sooner have Hull stay in the division.

It's the personnel that was the problem not the formation Only a fucking idiot plays 3 at the back with the squad we have..... We were all over Hull with a 3-4-3 to start with. Same against Liverpool and others. We can't play 3 at the back for 90 mins I'll grant you and the better managers suss us out after 30 mins. A plan B and C of 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2 is what we need.

Play a strong team vs Swansea. Last thing we need is accusation that we played a weakened side against a team fighting relegation. Hull would be (rightly) pissed off in my view if we fielded our first team against them and the. A combo of youngsters against Swans.

With what we've seen today and next season and beyond in mind what do you hope the team will be? Butland (after he comes through the u23 game on Monday) Edwards Shawcross Indi Bardsley Cameron Muni Shaq Ramadan Arnie Diouf It's a bit of a mish mash but Johnson and Pieters need dropping and if Muni is needed in midfield then it leaves Bardo for left back. He's played there lots before though. Shaq, Ramadan and Arnie all have to play. There's no chance Diouf starts but hey I think he's the best striker we have. Are you seriously thinking that Diouf is our best striker?

Diouf Allen Cameron Sobhi

Swansea 0 stoke 1 with Joe Allen taking a 90th minute dive and scoring from the spot, would be nice :-)

Are you seriously thinking that Diouf is our best striker? Easily. Diouf's performances have always shown lots of heart and desire to do well for Stoke. He has given 100% even when clearly out of position. He has scored some good goals and memorable ones but closer examination of the games he has played in show clearly his poor strike rate, his ability to contribute to chances. His lack of technique has been clear to see. He has scored goals with his head. After seeing Stoke try a number of recognised strikers it has been quite clear that none of them has set the world alight for their scoring. They cannot all be bad!! I believe that all these players have not had good delivery from the team players around them. I have watched Berahino since his arrival. He has not scored yet but I have seen enough of him to know that he is a great goal scorer. He possesses far greater awareness than Diouf. Every week he is improving! Mignolet last week made a sublime save from him. Too many people have read the garbage put out about him from Pulis and West Brom. Berahino will be one of our star players next season and with Arnautovic, Shaqiri and Sobhi around him, something as yet he has not had, he will become a star player again. IMO Diouf is at best an impact player.

Hughes needs to sort a plan out for him asap. If he does then he will be the best striker we have. Until that day, Diouf is the best fit for how we play.

It's something I've been on about for a while. His ability as a player is beyond question for me it's his injury problems that hold him back. Holding midfield should be his best position and he moves the ball quickly aswell which benefits us massively.

I still think he's a CB but as you say he has every quality you want in a holding midfielder. We've really been lacking there, why did it take yesterday for it? It was the first time in God knows how long that we've had a midfielder who wasn't rushed. Some may say Imbula but he held on to the ball for way too long and would get caught on it. It was very good to see a player having time and using the ball simply and effectively.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing Muni, Geoffrey, and Imbula as our midfield three on Saturday just to see how they get on.

I think there's more chance of me or you starting though.
