Well, he does take us right to the edge - every time I honestly believe Leslie's lost it, we get a proper strong performacne, and job of management like today's.
Same again next time please and there'll be some well-earned sighs of relief all round, for today it's a good solid
8* from me
* if you were there please

5*- same old arms folded / angry / vexed routine - got lucky with the subs (and I thank the Lord for that) and seems unable to inspire, enthuse and organise the team...

So when the subs go badly (and man have they gone badly) it's rank bad management but when they turn the game it's lucky? And as for demeanour, Hughes was giving it to his players all game.

10. The team he went with started bright and really we should have been 4 up by half time. Hull came back into it through a comedy of errors on our part but Hughes changed it and we won the game. It's hard to knock him at all IMO

Panic double subs against a shit side shouldn't even be necessary - law of averages says that the subs would come off one day - as you rightly state they haven't for the most part this season - and today was it thankfully but it doesn't put him back in credit overall as far as I am concerned......he got lucky and I'm glad he did.....

8* He made the changes that got us three points.
I was a little perplexed when he took Saido off, as I thought he was having a decent game & that a goal would come. I certainly didn't boo though !
Just shows why Hughes is the manager & im not.

8. Started well and should have been out of sight after 20 minutes. Didn't panic when the pressure started to build, and made the right changes early enough for them to have an impact. Still nowhere near knowing his best eleven or starting formation, but today was all about three points and he delivered the goods.

8*
Credit where credit is due - it needed changing and he rolled the dice big time a) switching Adam with Muniesa and b) taking off Berahino for Crouch/ Walters..... and it totally paid off.
I hope he learns from this....

The starting xi and tactics were bollocks.
He needed to change to a back 4 at half time.
The subs worked but they probably wouldn't have been needed if he was pro active.

Although I wouldn't have made the subs exactly as he did he did manage the subs to move Muniesa in to midfield in place of Adam - and that changed the game almost as much as the performances of Walters and Crouch. As soon as Muniesa moved to the middle we stopped being over run and the rest of the team found the time and space to play. I'll give him an 8* - although (to be fair to me ) I've been asking for Muniesa to be tried out in midfield since before this season started. Muniesa might not think it is his best position (and in Spain it may not be) but in England in the PL it probably is. Muniesa is mobile, a decent defender and good on the ball and a good passer - but without blistering pace - to me that screams centre midfield. So I deserve a 10*

10 for me criticised his substitutions but they paid off. It was a must win game and we won. We have played better and lost but I will take winning ugly at this stage.
Would have been tearing my hair out if I had any and daren't check my blood pressure. A normal Stoke game

5 /10
He got the subs right for once
Sobhi out and berahino in is ridiculous
He's totally lost it if he thinks berahino is a better footballer than sobhi

I'll give him 7*
As for it being abysmal to watch I can't agree. Nerve wracking at times, but we created many chances and they had a few too. We also won and scored three great goals. Seriously what do people want?

I am not saying that I am saying hughes should judge his players by how they play I remember before being dropped again sobhi's stats in one game was he made 6 challenges for the ball and won 5 The lad may have skill on the ball but also throws his weight around ( a bit like arnie if you like?) I Couldn't guess how long it will be before berahino wins 5 challenges out of 6 ( or even makes 6 challenges) but it will most likely be a long time.

That's all well and good and Ramadan is a cracking player. Are you going to play him ahead of Shaq and Arnie? He could accomodate him in a 3 behind Saido, which is worth trying although I think we would lose something from Shaq moving him in the middle. He gets more space out wide and is dangerous either cutting in our getting quality balls in.

I bet Sobhi doesnt make as many saves as Grant, therefore we should drop him for Lee. Stupid comparison. Sobhi is out of the team because his final ball isn't as good as Shaqiri's, and he dwells on it too long sometimes. Comes with age.
