Yes individual errors cost us, plus outstanding work by Mignolet, but that was a poor Liverpool performance and we ought to have finished them off with relative ease. Ok players are also understandably low on confidence after three defeats on the bounce - but that's where the manager comes in no? Not to mention the subs today.
Our game management is so consistently drek no wonder it's undermining the players. They don't trust the tactics and formation enough , with reason lately. A good manager makes average players good and good players great. Too many out there today were playing better when they arrived than they are now, which speaks volumes.

Hit a ladder and went 1-0 up .... that's a 5. Unfortunately the snake that represents the Whelan and Adam substitutions was a BIG one and we went back 10 places. 5-10= -5

-7* Fucking abysmal treatment of Ramadan but more than anything else the shit scared substitution. I scripted the game the second I saw what he was doing. The man has absolutely no bottle, constantly shits himself and tries to hang on by conceding territory. I still wouldn't like it if he was a defensive mastermind but he clearly isn't.

I wouldn't know where start. Not the 11 I'd have gone with but hats off 1st half we were by far the better side and deservedly in front.
However that whelan sub was just complete fucking suicide. As I've said for months his in game management skills are abysmal.

4. Unlucky with the Allen injury, but then predictably unraveled quickly with his inability to make the right changes. Still having a hard time understanding why Ramadan was dropped, why Johnson is ahead of Bardsley, and why Affelay isn't even making the bench. Beyond strange, and it's going to cost him.

That was such a poor Liverpool side and yet we did not go for it and the second half and his subs were a total shambles
He gets 0 because of his total rubbish comments post match - he is beyond a joke now

0* totally fucking bottled it with the Whelan sub then had to back track and sub Adam who was a sub himself. If he needed to make a change then why the fuck not use Diouf who when asked to do a defensive job hasn't let us down. Gouranga.

One manager used substitutions and positional changes to improve his team, the other used substitutions and positional changes to significantly weaken his team. Success in the Premier League requires tactical understanding and Hughes has very little, as I've said for quite a while now. This is why he is not good enough to take us forward and is now presiding over a steady decline. 2*

Starting with Walters then compounding it by bringing on Adam and Whelan are the actions of a mentalist.

I gave him 0/10 against Burnley I will give him 1/10 against Liverpool just because Liverpool is a better team
With a team of players above 30 you cant do any thing in a strong competition like premier league, mostly he is about 60 so he thinks age of 30-34 is the best age for a football player.
I dont know why he hate Bony, Diouf, Imbula, Affelay and it seems he wants to add Sobhi to the list and on the other hand he loves scottish and irish players like adam and whelan.

I thought he comitted suicide with his substitutions. He brought Ramadan on too late. I would have liked to have seen Muniesa on yesterday. We didnt deserve to lose it. I dont know why Muniesa and Ramadan were not in the starting X1. I thought they both played well at Burnley

6* would've started with 3 in midfield but we looked decent-ish, whelan sub made sense but didn't come off. Much improved. Whelan sub made no sense. Walters was playing well and helping us to defend from the front. Holding the ball up well, harrying their players into mistakes etc he was helping to relieve the pressure. Once he went off we lost that ability to hold the ball up front and instantly sat deeper with predictable results. I was angry when the substitution was made and even angrier 5 minutes later when the game was gone. We didn't need a change at that point the team was functioning well as it was. Liverpool were threatening more but that was predictable after their attacking substitutions and the fact that they couldn't play as badly as the first half again. 1 for me. The team he selected did well and deservedly led but he undid all his good work with those substitutions. Why wasn't Affelay on the bench too?

Excellent reasoned reply, there needs to be tried and tested plans for replacing injured players, responding to any change of approach from the opposition. I was disappointed to see Ramadan on the bench and no sign of Affelay but we should have been far more clinical in the first half ( and what a different message board this morning) Again had Whelan and Adam been successful in limiting the Liverpool set up we would be praising the subs. Was Walters carrying an injury? We were less effective once he went off My concerns include lack of any plan b or c if needed. We would have made positive attacking subs 12 months ago. 3 from me * He got some positive play from Shaqiri

After going ahead in the game and deservedly so Hughes threw the game away with his crazy substitutions. Its so frustrating when we know we should have got something out of the game. Courtinho and Firmino scored their goals but i think their real hero was Simon Mignolet he saved them had it not been for him i think we could have won it
