Hughes is a game changer for sure. Awful substitute decisions yet again!

0*.
One decision cost us 3 points and undid any credit he'd got for the first hour of the game.

I thought he comitted suicide with his substitutions. He brought Ramadan on too late. I would have liked to have seen Muniesa on yesterday. We didnt deserve to lose it. I dont know why Muniesa and Ramadan were not in the starting X1. I thought they both played well at Burnley Ramadan didn't play at Burnley.

I'll never forgive him for putting Charlie on in the first place, and then Glenn. Horrible decisions. Has he completely lost it? We'll see next weekend! I'll repeat again for the bloke above. Charlie should not have even been considered against these,

5*
Replacing Walters with Whelan and presumably expecting us to play defensively from that point cost us the game. 1-0 is far too narrow a margin to defend against such fast moving opponents.

6 for first XI (no Ramadan is bizarre after his recent showings, but at least Crouch, Adam and Whelan did not start).
-10 for substitutions (in terms of who he brought on and when, and for not even having Afellay on the bench!).

2*. Whelan made no sense, especially after he sub'd Adams for Ramadan. We looked better when we threatened their goal and leaving a space when Walters went off gave them the initiative and in the end the game.

Cant make my mind up what to give but for certain it's not a high score. Why on earth would you bring Adam on against Liverpool who play a fast, pressing game, for me the game was lost almost then. I would have gone with Muni with what we had got on the bench who has the energy to get about the pitch, can defend and still pass a ball. Whelan for Walters was mind boggling, just giving them the game and leaving Berahino isolated and trying to defend a 1-0 lead against a resurgent Liverpool. His last throw of the dice in bringing Sohbi on was so late that it was almost pointless. It could have been so different, Muni for Allen, a bit like for like in some ways and either Diouf for Walters or bring Sobhi on and movie Shaq into the number 10 role (would have been my choice). But what did he do, brought on Adam which slowed the midfield down, no energy, no pace then gave the match up by bringing whelan on and conceding any initiative and just resulting in slow, slow, slow.
3 for me in the end and only because he could not be blamed for Allen getting injured but after that it was all down to Hughes and his lack of decision making and negativity.
