I couldn't even begin to guess what Hughes will go for. just expect it to be a disjointed side with no pace or creativity. wish this season would just end

Gotta have Diouf up top especially if Bardo is good to go for me. Sub in Berahino when needed second-half but Diouf will worry their two centerbacks massively. Klavan just got shrugged off by King today like he was a child, Diouf would have a field day.

Is Shaq going to be fit for Saturday...or should I say, will he be free from pain by Saturday? I wouldn't bet on it lol Sadly, the word "Shaq" is becoming synonymous with "won't" or "can't" in my mind. But would still like to see him this weekend, you know, if he can...

I think it will be: Grant Bardsley shawcross indi pieters Arnie Cameron Allen Ramadan Berahino Crouch
I'd play Shaq in the number 10, but don't believe he will play again under Hughes. Diouf to replace berahino in the second half for his running.

That but with Diouf up top for me. I'd go with that. Think its the only way the 10 behind really works with the added worry of a tireless dervish up front to occupy a few of their players and someone that can better handle the inevitable long balls.

If shaq is fit i agree with Trouserdog's,
If he's not, try Imbula.
Pack the midfield against these and they'll struggle, without Lallana and Mane they've lost the brain and legs of their side.

All of these teams are looking great but you just know Walters will come back into the team for a start! Love the guy but doesnt offer much threat anymore. Hughes will probably go
Grant Johnson Shawcross Bruno Pieters Ramadan Cameron Allen Arnie Walters Berahino
Or same as Burnley
Grant Shawcross Bruno Muni Diouf Allen Cameron Adam Pieters Arnie Berahino
Either way we'll probably all be disappointed

Shaq will be back for the publicity against a high profile team, then he will have a slight twinge (guess where) for the next game.

After his performance against Burnley, Muniesa has to start over Pieters. He was better defensively and better attacking than Pieters. It has got to the point now where when Pieters is standing in open space players aren't passing to him. Also Crouch cannot start, we need pace. Our attacking players should be from, Berahino, Diouf, Arnie, Ramadan, Shaq, N'goy, Campbell or even Greenidge before Crouch. 😀

That but with Diouf up top for me. Yeah, no contest really. Diouf would offer far more there at the moment, but obviously don't want to set Berahino back mentally. He seems pretty fragile. I like the rest of the team though. Get Arnie back on the left, and give Sobhi a punt behind Diouf. But being dependent on Shaq's fitness, it's all built on sand!

This is hard for me to say but I have a feeling that playing Crouch and hoofing the ball up may help us against Liverpool. They are one of the best counter attacking sides in the league, however they have a consistently ropey defense. If we attack in number from the wings, we could end up exposed.
Shawcross, this game may actually suit you. Hoooooooooooooof

It is mystifying to me how anyone can suggest Diouf or Crouch in any available starting line up for Stoke City anymore. Have you not watched the games they have played in. Surely Hughes has got to recognise that he has massive problems for next season unless he has a major overhaul. Firstly Crouch, Walters, Whelan, Bardsley Johnson and Adams are now past their sell by date as Premier League players! Diouf, Joselu, Wollsheid, Imbula, Bony have been unsuccessful investments. None have shown that they could feature consistently in a Premier League team. Very disappointed with our transfer decisions. I believe that although not very impressive we do already have the points and remaining fixtures that will see us survive. Surely Hughes needs to be thinking about next season when selecting his team. Which players in the squad should be automatics out of what's available? Grant or Butland, Indi, Shawcross, Allen, Cameron, Arnautovic, Shaqiri, Berahino and Sobhi. Even some of these are open to question and need improving on. I want to see Hughes being braver with young players and team selection whether it goes wrong or not. At least he'll know where he stands for next season! Therefore my starting eleven for Liverpool would be:- Grant or Butland Bardsley, Shawross, Indi, Muniesa Cameron, Allen Arnautovic, Shaqiri, Sobhi Berahino Bench: Grant or Butland, Pieters, NGoy, Campbell, Afellay, Souttar and Whelan It becomes very obvious what a transition Stoke needs to undergo this summer. I am prepared personally to endure some failure for the remaining season as long as it is made clear that this club has recognised our problems and is trying to do something to change our obvious decline. Investment financially and in our youth is essential.

I'm convinced Crouch will start on Saturday because of Liverpool's poor record at set plays.Hughes did it last season also and I think he'll do the same again
