Tonight's results have taken us from unlikely but possible to highly unlikely
Only a disasterous run by us and miracle results from teams in the relegation area would condemn us.
Safe but not happy

Safe but not happy Jesus wept. We have never been in danger of relegation. I would wager that even if we didn't gain another point this season we still wouldn't go down.

Agree after tonights results, prior to that it wasn't that certain. Look again at the table. It was very interesting at half time tonight. Jesus wept for a better reason than football results.

It's very possible we'll lose to hull and Swansea, really not sure how people can confidently say 'if we didn't get another point we'd be fine'. Bollocks

God this is becoming contagious.
I am starting to get nervous. Some pretty crap teams that we have seen here this season are starting to look threats to if not safer than us!
Hughes, the team and US THE CROWD need to get our fingers out. We are all in this together.

No bookie quoting odds for Stoke at the moment. Leicester 50-1 and we are more than 50s. 80/1

We've already enough points to survive this season but it's not this season I'm worried about. This coming close season has become THE most crucial in recent history and Hughes or AN Other just has to get the round pegs in the round holes, add to the squad where necessary and form a coherent tactical playing plan for next season.

I have stated a fact. There are a number of complete weapons on this board...fact. Oh dear, oh dear - you think either or both of your comments are facts? It's no use just saying that - prove it! Someone try and explain to him what a fact is - I can't be bothered. Well obviously you're a bit bothered because you've replied twice. You're obviously either blind or naive.

It's a joke that we have two big games in our season and they're against Hull and Swansea. we'll play well on saturday and lose to a coutinho screamer putting us further into the shit. its a good job our goal difference gives us an extra point..

I have just done worst case scenario on predictor, with us not getting anymore points on the road, and only a draw against West Ham, and was as objective as I could be with Hull and Swansea, and I agree with you on GD...That could well be a factor...

Stoke - no chance, you might not be happy with Hughes/the football/progress etc..but at worst you only need one more win - something the obliging WHU will no doubt gift in a few weeks!!
As for the rest - Sunderland and Boro look toast, Hull, Palace, Bournemouth have found form or a way to grind out results so as things stand I'd put it between Burnley, Swansea and the clueless, inept WHU (5 defeats on the bounce) for the final spot.
WHU have a huge game on Sat against Swansea - whoever wins takes the momentum into the run-in.

It's bizarre how teams that looked dead a few months ago e.g.Palace and Hull have resurrected themselves? However, things often go in cycles e.g.Swansea were out of it but are now back in it big time? Sometimes, bad early season form can come back to hurt you later in the season and that ultimately might 'do' for Swansea?
