It's absolutely fantastic that Stoke provide free transport to away matches for local fans long may it continue but whether I want to go is another matter! I want to watch my team when I can afford and yesterday's experience makes me think whether I want to do it again. From home to the door of the ground is more than I can wish for. Not a bad stadium either. My mate and I had a fantastic seat to watch the action. Fifteen minutes before kick off there were lots of empty seats around us but we had a great view. At kick off time the Stadium was filled! Unfortunately by people who were fuelled with alcohol and cared very little for anyone who wanted to sit and watch the game. When I purchase a seat I expect to be able to sit and watch the game. What a futile thing to do to try and reason with pissed up Stoke supporters who just give you abuse and threats. So for most of the match you are compelled to stand up in order to get a view of the game.During the game you are at risk from flailing arms and obscenities from fans with their backs to the game. To compound this misery I have to accept that Hughes has once again chosen Walters to start the game. What did Walters do yesterday that anyway warrant his selection. He was the second worst player on the pitch. I felt so sorry for Berahino. Have any of our so called Strikers ever received the correct kind of delivery in order to score goals? The worst player on the pitch by a country mile was Johnson. He should never play for Stoke again! Just watch Leicester's second goal. Schoolboy defending! These negative events only compound the ill feeling when fans around you are singing "You're fuckin shit!" To a team who are Premier League Champions, in the last eight of the European Cup and are beating us 2-0.???????? Stoke commitment was not bad and it was a fantastic goal that gave Leicester the lead. Hughes' decisions on substitution was poor. Johnson should have been taken off much much earlier. Berahino needed to be kept on. All in all arrived home depressed because of a loss that could have been avoided but made much worse by thoughtless selfish people who are supposed to be on your side.

Where we were sitting some turned up late, stood around for a bit, sung some predictable songs and disappeared after 60 mins. You have to wonder why they bother? Below us a smallish block was pretty much empty, thought we'd sold out, so some had got stuck in the pub, never to be seen.

Moan moan fucking moan. Firstly its your fault that you didn't ask to be seated at the front. I stand at away games, fuck sitting down. If your physically disabled then you should notify the club and they will help you. Its lads enjoying themselves, why ruin their fun because YOU want to watch the game sat down, no singing with a blanket around you.

Unless your first 3 rows - expect to stand at an away game .. simple.

The nice thing about having both seating and standing was that people who wanted to sit were left alone to sit down and those who wanted to stand could just stand and those who wanted to flail their arms around in the air and jump and down could 'mob up' and do so in the standing areas. There was a nice equilibrium to it all which accomodated young and old alike and those who just like to watch and those who like to let off some steam over the 90 minutes. No one has ever explained to my satisfaction how 'one size fits all' seating is somehow deemed as progress

I was about row 8 with my 9 yr old lad and he stood on his seat and those around us made sure he could see
If you speak to those around you stoke fans are good at sorting themselves out so everyone can see
Yes the language is bad but your at an away ground making yourself heard it's to be expected
I've never had an issue really, at Everton a few of the "mob" all moved round so my lad could see
In my experience stoke fans are fairly reasonable....

If you don't like standing for away games, and you don't want to sit at the front, either stand yourself or don't go. Hardly a massive issue to start moaning about.

I'm one of the few that can't really afford many away games, both financially and in terms of family time. Yesterday was one of very few this season and I enjoyed the standing up and the atmosphere overall. I think it's a real tip to the old skool and let's be honest, is a message to the powers that be that safe standing should really be looked at in the here and now.
It's more dangerous to stand in a seated area than it is a specially designed standing area but, and it's a massive but, the fans do it because it's what they naturally want to do.
It's a shame for those that want to sit, and i'm more than happy to do either, but you can't really force a huge group of people to sit when they want to stand.

He has only his own rules that suit his own agenda. Stewards should get to grips and stop people from standing or turf them out.

My rights are to purchase a seat where I choose to sit and be able to watch the game.

Those that want to sit should be allowed to sit, those that want to stand should be allowed to stand. Maybe unreserved seating is the way forward? If you want to sit, go near the front, if you want to stand go at the back. You can't just dismiss people because they're different.

Look at every set of away fans in the league and tell me one team where the majority sit? I'll help - Zero. Get a grip. This is football. If you want to sit quietly and masturbate with your friend, there is a corporate section that would be perfect. I'd be more respectful, but you seem to have no respect for others. When you bought the ticket, did you read the advise given by the club? If you'd like to sit, request seats at the front - I saw a good few sitting, surprise surprise they were near the front...
