Fact check: SB states that he has never taken drugs. He has been pictured taking nitrous oxide, admitted using it and was reprimanded by WBA. He was convicted of drunken driving (on the M6), but maybe he doesn't class alcohol as a drug.... Who does class alcohol as a drug bar morons?

To a pharmacologist, that question is a little bit like “Is water a liquid?” Alcohol is not just a drug, but the archetypal drug: the drug most widely used and the drug that causes the most addiction, disease, and violence. just google it ffs.

When I worked as a Customs Officer we were all remided that (IN THE UK) there were many categories of illegal drugs and two recreational drugs which were legal - although even they were of interest to us because they were subject to tax. Look at tobacco and cannabis. Both are parts of a plant, both have effects (pleasant and unpleasant) on the body, both can be (to some people) addictive and both can be smoked. Both are drugs and for historical reasons one is illegal and one isn't illegal in our country - but the situation is different in other countries. Same with alcohol - some countries have declared it to be illegal and others haven't. But illegal or not, it can be addictive to some people and is quite clearly and obviously a drug.

It is but I never said it wasn't, having a go at him for saying he's never taken drugs when he's drank alcohol when no one in day to day to life would consider it so is absolutely pathetic.

On football focus now. at least he looks happy Excellent interview. Won't be long before he's banging him in. Yes, it was a good interview. Personally I wish the drug thing had been forgotten by now but, I suppose it was inevitable that he was going to be asked about it. Thankfully the pundits in the studio didn't dwell on the drugs side of the interview - even though they were more sympathetic to West Brom than I would have been. Berahino behaved stupidly when the Spurs transfer was turned down - but West Brom showed a very dog in a manger attitude in not selling him last summer as he went into the last year of his contract - I think they lost any sympathy they might have had after last summer and it cost them upwards of £7 million with no positives for them.

Revealing interview. So far, every exposure Berahino has had since joining us has reflected well on the guy. I for one am prepared to give him plenty of time to rebuild his career.
It must have been massively disappointing for him to be repeated refused transfers and he must have got deeply frustrated and depressed.
I like Mark Lawrenson and he normally brings any discussion that is deviating back to reality. However, there are many ways of describing Tony Pulis, but "father figure" is one of the last I would pick. Someone's mental health is now open for discussion apparently; I must keep up with the times.

Yes saying how he (Berahino) should have performed on the pitch when the point was he was never getting on the pitch.

Denis Smith has said he sits on drug panels, and that Berahino must have had a very good case to prove he was spiked, otherwise his ban would've been much longer.

Hes a liar.If you put MDMA into any drink it tastes fucking awful and you would know straight away. Most of the stuff that young people drink tastes fucking awful anyway how would you know the difference. I mean antything and red bull, jagerbombs etc whats wrong with a good pint of real ale. They'll be mixing lager and cider or dropping a piece of chalk into their pint of lager to keep it looking fizzy next thing you know. Flash bastards. The thoughts of Captain Mainwaring!

Still early days, but I really think we need to put something in his drink if he doesn't up his game soon. Not much happening around him at the moment and I really had expected a bit more from him. He can't expect to get a lot of starts without delivering the goods! That wouldn't be fair to our other strikers who in fairness have showed more than Saido so far!

Mmmmm...........so despite his softly spoken 'butter wouldn't melt in my mouth' interview (in which he attempted to re-write history), he has again failed to deliver, in the only way that matters, on the pitch. The sad tales of Stefan/Luke Moore spring to mind.
