I guarantee he will not play for a top club again. He has all the ability in the world but lacks any heart or desire. I hope you are right and lots of clubs come in for him. It means we get a sicknote off the books saving 70 grand a week and also get a good fee. Put him in the box titled waste of money. He'll have good company with Imbula. i agree that the calf issue is very annoying and i was doubting shaqiri do something wrong...the swiss team doc said it is a muscle tissue problem and just to say between the line they doubted stokes medical team because in the national team shaqiri is always top fit...so maybe we have the better docs? we are all rase our question as well about that long injury but we never doubt him as a world class player....and so does many clubs arround the world.....even he would play not 1 game anymore for stoke....he would join still a top team.....we will see....the chance is bigger shaqiri plays champions league again as hughes will have success in his coach career....not forgeting all the trophys shaqiri won allready....so nothing to prove to you guys because the main guys who do the deals still rate him very high even you talk him down....thats why your words put only a smile on my face:) Regardless of who has the better medical staff, I think most Stoke fans now think he's not interested in playing for the club anymore and have lost patience with him. He's proved nothing in the Premiership. I'd be quite happy to see him go at the end of the season.

I've been giving him the benefit of the doubt but if he plays for Switzerland and isn't available for Stoke after that he can fuck right off! as far as i know shaqiri wanted to play against chelsea but hughes forbid it ... right? so who is the dickhead or the pussy who dont want to play? maybe shaqiri wanted to play mauch more games but stoke medical team said no? possible or not? so to say he has no hear is wrong because he was always very loyal to clubs and i heard never a bad word from shaq about stoke .... so a little bit more respect would be nice because even he could not give what was expected he was always very loyal and good spoken....i think in every other club he would earn more respect....at stoke you need to run like a bull then you loved from the fans....

Respect works both ways sonny. Where did I say I expected him to "work like a bull" (despite him been built like a bull), I said I enjoyed the moments of magic he brought to us, but it's a pity they were so few and far between. I'm old school and actions speak louder than words, so while it's great that he hasn't spoken ill of the Club (the club that pays him 70k a week by the way), I'd actually like to see some action from the bull! Can you also please share where you are getting your info that Hughes stopped him from playing?

Can you also please share where you are getting your info that Hughes stopped him from playing? he would be well spoken even he had 20k a week because he is a good guy.... bowen gave a interview where he exactly said that....that shaq wanted to play and they choose to wait....i can remember there was 2 other times same happen....so at least 3 games we talk about....but i agree...he still missed to much....but still there is the point he has to play always as winger with a bad back up who can not bring him into dangerous areas where he is worldclass...he is not world class in the middle or back of the pitch....never was...why hughes bought him? to play on the winger? even mancini played shaq first on the 10 and he showed good games...unfortenly mancini dropped him because they wanted to sell him and he left after 6 months....bayern he did not fail....it was shaqiris wish to change ! bayern would not let him go 2 years. (liverpool) and then sadly let him go...so they did not kick him out....they respectet his wish....even guardiola said shaq is world class and he regrets he leaves....anyway...now new situation....in stoke....maybe not the players arround like bayern or inter....and shaq wanted to prove everybody he can do it.....yes he did it but not enough....the injury problem is a big shadow now and only with good games he can get those silent how still doubt him insteed of hughes....

I'd love to see him play the football he's capable of, week in week out at Stoke, unfortunately for whatever reasons I don't think that's likely and in that case it's probably best all round if he leaves. I really don't think that you are right about there been many top clubs interested in him, but we'll see in due course I'm sure

I expect that Shaq will be one of Stoke's best investments from a financial perspective. He has a more strongly recognised brand that any of our players have, even those who have delivered more for Stoke in recent years than he has (eg. Arnautovic), and I doubt this has been diminished by virtue of his infrequent appearances and inconsistent performances. I am sure we will make a decent return on our outlay. Whenever he has been interviewed, he has always come over very well and never spoke in condescending terms about Stoke even if he must have swallowed his pride when joining us from Bayern via Milan.
Truly, I have been a bit disappointed as you feel he is capable of much more but he has shown flashes of brilliance I will never forget either. I sincerely hope he gets back in the team for the run in and proves the doubters wrong.

No doubt he'll return from international duty with a bit of tightness in his calf and that should rule him out for another 6 or so weeks

Try him out behind Bera in the attacking midfield position for the rest of the season, if it doesn't work out just sell him. I have a suspicion it might be a huge success though!

Get rid of him he's had his chance end of, and as the old boys of the squad have shown it's far better to have a player who's committed to the cause than someone who isn't, even if they've got bags of talent.

If he doesn't play against Leicester - or at the very least isn't on the bench - then questions have to be asked. He's clearly fit now.

Hughes or Bowen did say last week that he'd trained all week and was fine but they'd made a decision not to pick him (Probably because of our sterling performance against Man City) to give him an extra few days recovery so that he'd go to Switzerland fresh and ready to go and hopefully lower the risk of him picking up an injury whilst there.

So even 101 Great Goals are alluding to the fact the he seems to be able to be fit for his country, whilst at the same time not being fit for his club? It's not just us being paranoid is it? It's looking like the outside world have noticed it. I'll happily drive him to whichever stage he feels to be befitting of his talents.
