Are we sure it's not something to do with the club? And our terrible medical team?

Tbf, we want him to play 90 minutes for Switzerland so this is good news isn't it?

The guy wanted to show us what he can do in training by placing the footage on his Twitter page. For him not to have kicked a ball in a competitive game for Stoke since Jan 21st, only to be allowed to play for his country as if nothing's wrong doesn't give the club much credibility, who still pay his wages at 70 grand a week.
Shaqiri clearly doesn't want to be with us and the sooner he leaves the better. When he has played, you can count on one hand the number of times he had a good game.
Ship out.

I was delighted when he signed for us and he gave us some thrilling moments of magic, unfortunately I think you're right and he has no heart or desire to play for Stoke, such a pity. I've been giving him the benefit of the doubt but if he plays for Switzerland and isn't available for Stoke after that he can fuck right off! as far as i know shaqiri wanted to play against chelsea but hughes forbid it ... right? so who is the dickhead or the pussy who dont want to play? maybe shaqiri wanted to play mauch more games but stoke medical team said no? possible or not? so to say he has no hear is wrong because he was always very loyal to clubs and i heard never a bad word from shaq about stoke .... so a little bit more respect would be nice because even he could not give what was expected he was always very loyal and good spoken....i think in every other club he would earn more respect....at stoke you need to run like a bull then you loved from the fans.... I'd take getting on the pitch, to be fair.

As I said previously , he's always fit for international football but rarely for his club. This is getting slightly fucking tiresome. He needs to step up or he should be sold in the summer.

Try him out behind Bera in the attacking midfield position for the rest of the season, if it doesn't work out just sell him. I have a suspicion it might be a huge success though! I agree. Give him free rein and no defensive duties. He picks a pass as well as anyone in our squad. I so much want to agree with this, but unfortunately I'm not 100% sure it would be the answer for him. The reason being the premier league is an unforgiving league that most of us have now started to take for granted, myself included. Playing in the number 10 role isn't quite as much as a free role as people think. When we're on the front foot and controlling a game all is good and well, but when our backs are to the wall during a game, which for certain periods is most games not just for us but for many premier league teams then the player in that role has to make the numbers up in midfield and do some donkey work. Ala Joe Allen. Can you see shaq for all his brilliance doing this??

Imbula, Joselu, Shaqiri, Bony. Either Hughes can't get the best out of any of them or they were just bad buys? Either way it's not a ringing endorsement of Hughes, is it?

Sounds like we're going to sell him in the summer A good future would consist of more Ramadans, less Shaqiri's.

The turnover of players this summer could, for once, actually live up to expectations on here! Given, Johnson, Muniesa, Wollscheid, Ireland, Adam, Imbula, Shaq, Joselu, Bony, Bojan.

The only reason they are here in the first place is that they have 'failed' at their previous (bigger) clubs so it's not just Hughes who has failed to get a tune out of them. What is really in question here is our transfer policy. We need a transfer team able to spot quality on the RISE not that which has either stalled or is going backwards. Easier said than done but that really is the only way we are going to progress from where we are.

At his best you can certainly see that Shaq is something special, but he still needs to show this more consistently. I've said it before and I'll say it again that he is a player that would fit in very well at a club like Man City where he could utilize more of what he is extremely good at. His vision and passing ability is really something special.

The only reason Shaqiri is at Stoke is he failed to impress the so called bigger clubs he's been at if he had they would not of got rid.But personally I think he thinks he's to big for Stoke so does not want to push himself.

What a load of absolute bollocks on here! OK, Shaqs been unlucky with injuries since he's been here, but we all know he's a class player! The way he's been written off by many fans makes my blood boil! I want to watch FOOTBALL when I go to the Bet365, I don't want to watch a team of athletes chasing round the pitch! If I wanted to watch athletics I'd go to Northwood fucking Stadium! Last season we saw some of the best football played by a Stoke team since the halcyon days of the seventies, yet now we're talking about getting rid of some of our best players! If we're going to be watching 11 Usain Bolts, (or Jon Walters), next season will be my last after 40-odd years! OK dickheads, over to you!

Not against a cull. Not even really added about Shaqiri because I prefer direct wingers and Shaq is too inconsistent despite his talent. It's just that it's happening too often where Hughes can't get a tune out of players he's signed. Berahino is a talented young striker. If he fails under Hughes questions need to be answered.
