Grant Bards Shawcross Indi Pieters
Whelan Adam
Arnie Allen Sobhie
Crouch
Subs: Given, Shaq (want to use him as an impact player if we're losing), Berahino (at least 30 mins for Crouchy if we're losing), Johnson, Afellay, Muni and Bony, a bit early for Cameron yet I guess. No place for N'Goy either this time I think.

Sobhi needs to start consistently now to further improve his confidence on the ball. No doubt has the highest ceiling of all Stoke players. I agree, but got a feeling he will be back on the bench on Sunday. I will very disappointed if Hughes does drop him.

Grant
Bardsley Shawcross Martins Indi Pieters
Whelan Adam
Sobhi Allen Arnautovic
Crouch
Best team for us on current form. Still think Tottenham will win comfortably though. Spurs 3-1 Stoke

Sounds like Berahino will be on the bench again...
13:43 ... and as for the new boy MH: Berahino is looking really sharp and we are really pleased with what we are seeing. He is close to being ready to start now. Whether this weekend is too early for him we will have to wait and see. He is itching to start matches now. We are excited by him. He will play a part on Sunday because he is showing the qualities that attracted us to him in the first place.

My choice:
Grant
Johnson Shawcross Martins Indi Pieters
Whelan Allen
Arnautovic Shaqiri Ramadan
Berahino
Hughes will go far more conservative, I feel:
Grant
Bardsley Shawcross Martins Indi Pieters
Whelan Adam
Arnautovic Allen Ramadan
Crouch

I think 4-4-2 could be the way to go Grant Johnson or Bradsley if GJ not fit Shawcross Bruno Eric Ramadan Whelan Allen Arnie Crouch Berahino It's the future

Would get absolutely mullered in midfield away to Spurs. I liked Hughes quote about going to express themselves, and surely we will be a lot fresher than Spurs. Need to play with an intensity to make that count!

We're not getting relegated and we're not going to get into Europe so let's see some perseverance with the signings and the 'plan':
Grant Johnson Shawcross Martins-Indi Muniesa Allen Imbula Affelay Sobhi Arnie Berahino

Lots of interesting attacking formations being proposed but I think MH will be more cautious and concentrate on avoiding a 4-0 drubbing. Everyone wants to see Berahino, but Crouch is scoring and enjoying his swansong, so let's see him play out this purple patch to our advantage before he finally steps down to a supporting role.
If Cameron is ready, I think MH might revert to the formation used successfully at Hull earlier in the season, but with stronger defending forwards, which is why I've put Sobhi ahead of Shaq:
Grant Bardsley/Johnson - Shawcross - Indi - Pieters Cameron - Whelan Arni* - Allen - Sobhi* Crouch

We are going to come out of this with a four goal tonking.
It'll be a shame to end Tottenham's home record like that, but it has to be done.
