If it could work, it might be absolutely brilliant.
I suspect MH might revert to wing-backs though to give 5 at the back and leave Crouch up front for everyone to lump it to.

Charlie has been our best midfielder since Christmas and doesn't deserve to lose his place (plus he winds the Spurs fans up)
And unless Berahino has been running up and down the Roaches 12 hours on 12 hours off since the last time I saw him (Palace) he'll be blowing out of his arse after 15 minutes and is nowhere near fit enough to start.

Is it finally time to unleash the Ramadan-Shaq-Arnie-Saido front 4 on an unsuspecting Spurs? Grant Johnson-Shawcross-BMI-Pieters Whelan-Allen Ramadan-Shaq-Arnie Berahino It would be worth a go. We haven't really got much to lose. We're massive underdogs and not many are realistically expecting us to get anything there. I'll pull up short of using the word "bonus" game..... If we go tried and tested we'll probably lose and it'll be an opportunity missed. I'd throw Saido in. We've invested heavily so it has to be sooner rather than later for me. Ramadan has to start after his last performance too.

Like the OP's team but I can't see anything other than Crouch up front and some good old fashioned long ball.

If that starting line-up worked it would be fantastic, but there's a very real possibility that playing Shaqiri in midfield with Allen behind and a possibly off-the-pace Berahino will have us effectively playing with 8 men.

I hope they play Dier in a back 3 - he's been bloody awful of late.... Is he secretly a bit shit after all? (like Drinkwater) Poch doesn't seem to give him any playing time at all in midfield and hangs him out to dry at the back. This time last year, he was the first name on the teamsheet for England and Spurs. Hard to know what to make of him now. Pretty much everything after his free-kick v Russia has been crap.

Weirdly we have a decent record at Spurs since we came up, only lost three times, but the way they've butchered us in the last two games at home is not encouraging. I'd keep an unchanged team but start Dioufy up front to harry them for a half then review and swop with Berahino if it seems right. Crouch can play Boro but is too in this kind of game, I reckon.
I prefer Berahino to face a really tired defence which is why I'd wait for second half

Sobhi needs to start consistently now to further improve his confidence on the ball. No doubt has the highest ceiling of all Stoke players.
