Just watching motd's interview with Bilic he comes across well and seems mainly unbiased. Is there any other managers past or present that are well liked?

I never met him but I knew several people who knew him well and they confirmed what I always thought, that Waddo always seemed like a decent and likeable bloke.

That's given me an idea for a Tony Waddington thread. You should liaise with the Sheikh - perhaps there is a case for a thread about anyone called Tony who has worked for Stoke City in any capacity.

Yes, now you mention it the Sheikh does at times seem a little underwhelmed by all the tireless work Mr Scholes does behind the scenes for his meagre income!

I know. A mind of my own, right? It won't make many friends on here. I'm prepared to turn a blind eye, as long as you don't go spouting any love towards Wilshire. Can't speak for the rest of the oatcake though, I'm afraid you're on your own there.

For me I like Conte but waiting to see how he reacts when things aren't going his way. Toys out the Pram a possibility similar to Pep has been doing.
I really like Pochettino as well, miserable git that he is but he has worked wonders with the Spurs team.

Ranieri definitely. I live in Leicester at the moment, hes a good bloke and well liked and respected, that was true even before it became clear they might win the league!
I would have to say Hughes - he can seem dour but he's never unpleasant and comes across well most of the time.

Steve Bruce doesn't seem a bad chap. When we were giving him the "Big Fat Head" song a couple of seasons ago, he put his hood up and laughed. Good to see a bit of banter 😊
