Guilty as charged, having one off on Saturday, Tuesday night just didn't make me want to go. Games need to be better to generate enthusiasm. In the unlikely event of a cup final appearance would you bother not showing then as well? You'd be happy to give your ticket up I take it or would your enthusiasm suddenly return. Just asking like. I doubt I would risk missing seeing us win something. I'd get a ticket I'm a season ticket holder, who should I give it up to some one who spent £20 watching us play Wolves in the 3rd round because of their sterling commitment to the club.

The problem we have as a club we only have a fan base of 12000 die hard fans.So when the going gets tough they disappear but when the going is all roses they come back and say they have been going for years.Been a supporter is in your blood not something you can switch on and off.You hear fans on about ambition from the club ,well it's a two way street.Clubs like Derby,Villa,Newcaslte and even Norwich supporters stay with there team. I have a good feeling we will do well in the cup and I hope those who are not season ticket holders and go the cup games get priority over those who don't attended.

I didnt bother the other night and glad i didnt .Night games are a total mare for me.
Dont get me started on the useless shuttle buses i use every Saturday. If your not out on 87 minutes your in a queue for an hour.
I would love to stay until 90 but not until they sort out more busses.Getting piss soaked wet and cold or leaving early,i choose the latter.

Don't understand your football reasoning behind not going saturday. I would have thought there's a higher likelihood of seeing the type of players you'd like to see. The Hull League Cup gane twenty odd chances created etc. I reckon there'll be Bojan, Shaq, Imbula maybe N'Goy somewhere in the mix. You are in danger of cutting yr nose off etc.

Personally I much prefer the new Hughes, or at least as I see it a manager who is working on the areas I've been banging my gums about during his tenure. A flexible manager who has a positive approach to every game, but has shown the nouse to tighten things up to avoid poor runs. We've taken a few hammerings, largely down to individual errors, they were eradicated tuesday. Good stuff for me on that level. The performance wasn't great first half, but that's football, sometimes it's like chess, or boxing etc. even without goals. {I derive pleasure/entertainment from all aspects of the contest, and readily admit to red and white bias}. You've seen enough to know all that. I think your latest stick to beat Hughes, that we were somehow far better in his first two years is flawed imo. There's been a similar pattern each season so far. First part of the season changes personnel to test the strength of the squid, generally settles on a 'best' by xmas {injury's aside} we click and start to do well. First season Odemwingie came in and it started to make sense. Second season Moses was injured, he switched Arnie back to the left, Adam came back in and again we looked good. Last season to an extent Imbula came in and helped to lift us {temporarily at least}. There was loads of 'one half' of games, and disappointing games in amongst it. But I think we're in a better place now, I think he's worked more on the 'nuts and bolts' and has added set piece and scrappy goals to our repertoire. I suppose it's a case of tomatoe and tomato for me and you. I see flexibility, you see confusion. I see tactical changes, you see a comfort blanket. It's a shame it's impairing your appreciation of the lots of positive stuff that is happening, and is on the horizon. I was shocked at the mood on tuesday, I'd gauged that completely wrong, it saddened me.

There is no future and absolutely minimal entertainment involved for the reward of maybe finishing 8/9/10 instead of 11/12/13/14 and actually building for the future and paying heed to the enjoyment of the customers who walk through the door. Its not for me, the ridiculous stock piling of ageing players had already got my goat before he even started cramming them into the starting line up and extending their contracts left right and centre, it was certainly not the vision we were sold when he was employed as our manager and its not one I can buy into.

What's the obsession with the family stand or any stand for that matter if people want to leave on 75 they have the right to. They've paid their money they make the choice. If I want to leave on 75 or 65 or bloody 25 I will do. Family stand on a Tuesday night 8pm kick off on a school week will always have empty seats- it's a no brainer. there is as much atmosphere in the family stand as the boothen end these days. The sharpe stand is where the songs are coming from.

I go back to the mid sixties as being a season ticket holder which folllowing your earlier comments re being a ST holder from the Durban era makes you a whippersnapper in comparison Your answer to my question re going to a final because we might win something actually is the language I hear so called glory hunting supporters of Man Ure etc spout and as such I treat your comments with the disdain they deserve. I don't give a shit about managers etc as I will still be following Stoke long after the current manager and players have retired or moved on. That's what I though a supporter did but obviously being a customer allows you to think in a different manner.

I'll always be a supporter unless you think people who don't go to the games aren't supporters, doesn't bother me but you might ruffle quite a few other feathers there a quite a few on here who don't attend for whatever reason. I won't necessarily always be a customer that depends on the product, I may exercise my right as a customer to stop purchasing the product until certain improvements are made. If that makes you think I'm a shit fan who cares, its people who are willing to vote with their feet who affect change. Sitting there swallowing whatever shit they feed you just gets you taken for a mug.

I would still follow and support the club and go the games if we ever ended up (god forbid) in a similar state to the Vale. On your reasoning you wouldn't unless you going to tell me differently.

Its about being a consumer and using your patronage to protest when things are not to your liking. They can take you for a mug whether you like it or not because you admit you will go whatever, so they don't need to take a blind bit of notice what you think, what you want or anything. No doubt you're good supporter but you're not the sort of customer that drives progress or even provides pressure to maintain standards. You see we're both things at the sametime but I advocate and use consumer power and you wouldn't even consider it. Unfortunately for you I'm the sort of customer they have to worry about because they can't take me for granted, sorry thats life in a consumer economy.

Yet ironically you can't get a seat in there for love nor money. The kids tickets are that cheap you can effectively miss 2/3rds of the season and they still be good value for money..... Do you think that is a wider issue too beyond the family stand? We have suppressed the price of season tickets for so long now but we have not done the same for the pay as you go fans so the proportionate advantage of a season ticket has become greater and greater. The consequence is people buy season tickets if they think they might make say 50% of the games, the result is shit loads of empty plastic seats everywhere. If you want to solve the "shit loads of empty plastic seats" then we should rip them out and replace with metal ones! Sorry its Friday afternoon and my sense of humour is deteriorating.

In your world 2+2=2 it must be 2 you said 2 I saw a 2. I drive a car and live in a house doing things other people do just not because other people are doing them. You're just too literal to make sense. You followed what your family and friends taught you so therefore everyone who does something someone else does is a follower or a sheep. You can just make your mind up what is for you on an issue by issue basis I follow no one.

As someone who helps a national company spend over £2M pound a week I think you will find I'm well up to speed with a changing world there are however constants in this world that don't change. One is my choice to follow the club come what may. The second is when will you answer my question or will you hide behind the your not making any sense stance again. Now to turn your your not making any sense argument on its head why do you buy a season ticket then if you choose not to follow what others do. Dont forget only sheep do that.Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa God knows who's puddled enough to let you spend their money. You don't seem able to digest basic sentences. Yawn Good night you've just mentioned sense again. Spending £2m and making a tidy profit thanks . Tell me which block and row you sit in I will spend some of my profit in helping those who sit near you throw a celebration party tomorrow. I will let you work out on your own what the celebration will be all about. Baaaaaaaaaaaaah

No it's not my money but because I help spend it wisely I get well rewarded through bonuses etc which is great and all helps towards the pension pot.

I think people are just bored with where the club is at ie a steady mid table club that is nearing it's potential.
I was pretty staggered with the reaction to the Watford game to be honest.
I just don't see how people can get that upset with a routine 2-0 home win.
